The PA’s wife, dismissive and cold, tells Isha to stop wasting her time and get to the point—how much money does she want to leave her husband alone? As she gets up from the table, a waiter accidentally spills water on her hands, and she winces in pain. Isha notices a visible bruise on her hand, a mark of abuse, and suddenly understands the deeper truth.
Isha tells the woman that now she realizes why women like her don’t stand up for others—it’s because they lack the courage to stand up for themselves. The woman retorts that merely passing government exams doesn’t guarantee anything. To truly secure such jobs, one must cross many hurdles and make painful compromises. Isha, taken aback, asks how she can say that so easily. The woman replies she is only revealing the harsh reality.
After leaving, Isha is deeply disturbed—conflicted by Gayatri’s manipulative words and the disillusioning encounter with the PA’s wife. Overwhelmed, she calls Om and asks if there’s any good news. Om says nothing has changed yet but promises to return the next day. Isha feels crushed by helplessness and fear.
Determined, she decides to sacrifice herself for Om’s future and heads to the PA’s residence. When she arrives, the PA greets her with a sleazy smile and says, “The bird has entered the cage on her own.” He tells her to shut the door, and then demands she apologize not just for herself but also on behalf of her husband.
Looking terrified and uncomfortable, Isha asks if this will guarantee Om’s job. The PA assures her that her husband’s future will be secured and that many have come to him for the same reason. He instructs her to stop wasting time and switch off the lights, saying he can’t wait any longer. With trembling hands and thoughts of Om in her mind, Isha turns off the lights.
The next morning, Isha returns home and stands in front of the mirror, emotionally torn—unable to decide if what she did was right or wrong. Just then, Om arrives, overjoyed. He shares sweets with his parents, showing them the list and proudly declaring that he finally got the job. Isha walks downstairs, and Om warmly hugs her, thanking her for her belief in him and crediting her for his success. He lovingly feeds her sweets.
Gayatri watches the moment in shock, piecing together the truth. Unable to hold back, she confronts Isha in front of everyone. She asks where Isha had gone the previous night and whether she had visited the PA’s house for Om’s “good news.” Om, stunned, turns to Isha and demands the truth. The episode ends on this dramatic cliffhanger.
