Isha then confronts her, saying women like her remain silent not because they lack compassion, but because they lack the courage to fight for themselves—let alone for others. The woman responds bitterly, claiming that merely passing government exams isn’t enough. To actually secure such jobs, people must cross many difficult bridges, make compromises, and endure sacrifices. Shocked, Isha questions how she can speak so cynically, but the woman insists she’s only revealing the harsh truth.
Later, disturbed by both Gayatri’s manipulative advice and the PA’s wife’s grim outlook, Isha feels conflicted and emotionally lost. She calls Om, asking if there’s any good news, but he replies that nothing has happened yet and he’ll be returning the next day. Isha grows increasingly anxious and afraid. Determined to help Om secure the job, she makes up her mind and heads to the PA’s residence, fully aware of the implications.
When she arrives and knocks, the PA opens the door with a lecherous smile, remarking that the bird has finally flown into the cage on her own. He asks her to close the door behind her and then demands an apology on Om’s behalf. Isha, visibly distressed, asks if Om will definitely get the job. The PA assures her that her husband’s life will be made after this, insisting she shouldn’t worry—he handles such requests regularly. He then orders her to turn off the lights, claiming he can’t wait any longer. Reluctantly, and with Om’s future on her mind, Isha switches off the lights.
The next morning, Isha returns home, emotionally shattered. As she stares at herself in the mirror, she is tormented with uncertainty—unable to decide whether she did the right thing or not. Just then, Om returns home with joyful news. He announces that his name is on the final list and that he has officially gotten the job. He shares sweets with his parents and hugs Isha, saying her faith in him made it all possible. He feeds her a sweet, unaware of her inner turmoil.
Gayatri, watching this unfold, is visibly shaken. Realizing what must have happened, she confronts Isha in front of everyone. She demands to know where Isha had been the previous night, and bluntly asks whether she went to the PA’s house to secure Om’s “good news.” Shocked, Om turns to Isha and asks her to tell him the truth.
