The episode begins with Chandrika explaining to Katha the responsibilities of a new daughter-in-law. She reflects on how the bond between a husband and wife strengthens over time. Katha grows emotional, recalling UV’s harsh words. Chandrika urges her to focus on keeping the family united.
Meanwhile, Ash expresses her discontent with Katha’s actions, and Pari also criticizes her. Just then, Eshwar enters and appreciates Katha’s efforts to understand and fulfill her duties as the new daughter-in-law. UV’s cousins, seeing Eshwar, hide behind a pillar, but he spots them and mocks their behavior. Rukmini comes to their defense, prompting the cousins to express their affection toward her before quickly running off.
UV then arrives and gets irritated when his cousins ask him to acknowledge Katha’s efforts to gain the elders’ approval. He vents his frustration over Katha’s blackmail from the previous night. Shlok shows interest in knowing more, but UV refuses to explain, accusing Shlok of setting a trap for him. He declares that he can no longer trust his family.
Later, Katha heads to the kitchen and is surprised to find Nathu Lal preparing separate teas for everyone. Instead, she decides to make a herbal drink for the family. Despite Nathu Lal’s attempt to stop her, Katha sticks to her plan. She prepares and serves the drink, which surprises the elders who were expecting tea. Eshwar, Kailash, and the others question her, and Katha calmly explains her reasons.
As UV and his cousins walk in, UV mocks Eshwar over Katha’s decision. Determined not to let UV know his displeasure, Eshwar pretends to support Katha and encourages the others to try the drink. They insist he taste it first, and after doing so, Eshwar smiles and praises Katha. Encouraged by his reaction, the rest of the family also tries it and commends her. UV and his cousins are left stunned.
When Shlok asks Katha to share the recipe with Charu so he can enjoy it in Singapore, UV sarcastically comments. Shlok then asks UV to try the drink, but UV refuses and demands Nathu Lal bring his regular tea before leaving. Katha feels disheartened, wondering how she can help UV change his tea habit.
Soon after, Mohan arrives to take Katha and UV for the pagphere ritual. Rukmini voices her concern to Eshwar about convincing UV to go. Shlok volunteers to talk to him, but Eshwar stops him and instead calls Katha. He confides in her about his helplessness and his frustration with UV’s cousins, who refuse to help. Katha reflects silently on UV’s promise to her, questioning whether he will truly keep it.
Elsewhere, UV’s cousins tell Shikha they won’t assist the elders, fearing UV’s anger. Shikha scolds them for their cowardice.
In UV’s room, Tammy complains about being questioned and compared to gobar devi. UV and Sandy advise her to focus on her work, but Tammy blames Katha for trapping UV into marriage. She also questions why UV is tolerating everything. Irritated, UV retorts that he never accepted gobar devi as his wife. Katha, overhearing this from outside, is deeply hurt.
