The episode begins with UV dropping a letter into the water. He quickly retrieves it, just as Katha rushes over and asks what happened. UV tells her that his mother has arrived and asks if she has seen anyone. Katha replies that if his mother had truly come, she would never have left without meeting him. She suggests he might have just imagined it. Angered, UV shouts that she can never understand his feelings. Katha calmly tells him she does understand, because she knows the pain of living without a mother. She adds that at least UV has the hope of meeting his, unlike her. Realizing his mistake, UV apologizes before leaving. Katha recalls UV’s shifting moods—sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet—and smiles to herself.
Meanwhile, Pari waits outside for a cab but fails to get one. Frustrated, she is relieved when Tejas arrives and offers her a lift. Secretly, Tejas sees this as an opportunity to use Pari against Katha and UV. Grateful, Pari thanks him, even happier when he promises to drop her to work the next day as well. She tells him she has recently started this job, then rushes inside when her boss calls her. Tejas smirks, confident his plan to separate Katha and UV is working.
Later, Pari begins her radio program. To please her boss, she hands over herbal tea packets that she secretly stole from Katha. Feeling guilty, she wonders how long she can continue hiding her ambition this way. Meanwhile, Katha tells Jhumki that she really likes the RJ’s voice. Just then, Shikha arrives and comments that the RJ sounds just like Pari. Shocked, Katha recalls Pari sneaking out at odd hours and suspects she may be going against Eshwar’s conditions. However, she dismisses the thought, convincing herself Pari would never do such a thing. Katha then counts her herbal tea packets and notices two are missing. When she asks Jhumki, she blames Tammy. Determined, Katha decides to find out who has been stealing them. At the radio office, Pari feels even worse for stealing Katha’s tea but consoles herself by deciding she will eventually confide in UV about her work.
Back home, Chandrika taunts Katha for spending all her time on orders instead of household chores, then sends her away for another task. Elsewhere, UV meets investors who give him one day to convince them to choose his café proposal over others. UV accepts the challenge. Later, he gathers his cousins and friends to brainstorm a unique theme for the café but struggles to explain what he envisions. Katha walks in and perfectly describes the emotions UV holds for his dream café, leaving him speechless. Shlok and Charu tease them both, while Katha tries to share more ideas. However, UV coldly asks her to leave. Hurt, Katha walks away while Tammy rejoices.
Pratty questions UV about his behavior towards Katha. UV explains that since Katha has little time to finish her order, he didn’t want to waste it, adding that the only thing they share is their self-respect. On the other hand, Katha confides in Gayatri about UV’s behavior and says that what truly connects them is the absence of their mothers.
