The episode begins with Katha sharing that since childhood, she has lived with only one dream, a dream she feels defines her identity. She believes she is nothing without it. With folded hands, she pleads with Eshwar not to misunderstand her intentions. She explains that though she is going against his wishes to follow her dream, she never wants any rift to arise between him and UV. She further promises that she will never disappoint him. But Eshwar, furious, accuses her of breaking his trust. In anger, he tells both Katha and Pari never to speak to him again, severs all ties with Katha, and storms off. Rukmini rushes after him, while Ambika rejoices at the fallout. Katha, heartbroken, steels herself to prove to Eshwar that her decision is not wrong.
Later, UV approaches Katha while she is studying for her exams and gifts her a pen. She is surprised by his “best of luck” note and points out a writing mistake. UV, a little annoyed, says anyone else in her place would have simply thanked him. Katha laughs and says “thank you.” But she soon notices the pen’s high price and scolds him for spending so much. UV explains that he wanted her to use this pen not just for her exams, but to write her future as well. He also thanks her for helping him the other day, though Tammy had taken the credit. Katha is surprised. She then shows him the café logo she designed for him. UV is delighted, thanks her warmly, and asks if she has forgiven him. Katha questions why he wants forgiveness. UV doesn’t answer, but assures her that one day she will forgive him, then leaves.
The next day, after finishing her exam, Katha waits for UV at his café. Sandy informs her that UV has left for Delhi for two days to meet Suri. Katha feels upset that UV didn’t tell her. Sandy teases her before leaving. Just then, Gayatri arrives to see Katha. Katha tells her she was just thinking about her. Gayatri notices Katha’s injuries and grows concerned, but Katha assures her she is fine. Before Gayatri can ask about her in-laws, her caretaker arrives and insists on taking her home, saying Arjun is waiting. Katha tries to stop them but fails.
Curious, Katha follows Gayatri’s car and is stunned to see the grand house where Gayatri is staying. Inside, Gayatri appears frightened as she stands near Arjun, who is performing an aarti. Suddenly, Arjun slaps her caretaker. Gayatri begs him not to punish them, insisting they have cared for her well. Arjun replies that now that he has returned, he will take care of her himself. Gayatri tells him she has no one, recalling that she lost her memory in an accident 20 years ago. Arjun reveals that her son and husband both died in that accident. Overhearing this conversation, Katha is left utterly confused.
