The episode begins with Jhanak telling Aditi that she knows Aditi does not suspect her, but she will still bring her bag for checking. She goes inside, and Dritimaan tells Aditi not to worry—they will find the missing jewel. Aditi explains that her parents bought the jewel with their hard-earned money, which is why she is anxious.
Jhanak returns with her bag. Rishi taunts that they only want to check Jhanak’s bag. Mishti searches it, and to everyone’s shock—especially Jhanak’s—the missing jewel falls out. Arshi smirks. Aditi demands to know how the jewel ended up in Jhanak’s bag. Jhanak swears to God she knows nothing about it and insists she did not steal it.
Dadabhai says no one will believe her since the jewel was found in her room. He adds that she shouldn’t have gone to lock Aditi’s room. Sanjhbati questions why Aditi sent Jhanak to her room in the first place, saying something feels suspicious because they know Jhanak well. Rishi tells Jhanak he warned her not to trust anyone. Aditi asks if they are accusing her of planning the incident to frame Jhanak. Arshi claims that instead of blaming Jhanak, everyone is blaming Aditi, and reminds her she warned her not to defend Jhanak. Aniruddh states that the police will uncover how the jewel got into Jhanak’s bag.
Rishi tells Jhanak that nothing will happen to her and says there is no need for the police since he himself is an officer. Aniruddh counters that Rishi might manipulate the investigation, which is why proper police involvement is necessary. Rishi warns Aniruddh not to cross his limits and says he will find the real culprit. Aditi requests they keep the matter within the family since the jewel has already been found. She says she knows Jhanak isn’t a thief. Arshi questions why Aditi still trusts Jhanak. Jhanak again denies stealing and swears on Nutan. Rishi tells her not to defend herself because he knows she is innocent.
Later, Aniruddh asks Aditi why she backed out. Arshi says she can’t believe Aditi wasted such a perfect opportunity. Aditi explains that Rishi would have interfered anyway, and they all saw how strongly he defended Jhanak. She had to take Jhanak’s side in front of him.
Just then, Jhanak arrives with sweets, saying Indumati asked her to distribute them. Aniruddh tells Aditi to send Jhanak away because he does not want to speak to a thief. Jhanak insists she is not a thief and claims someone is framing her. She angrily calls Aniruddh a thug and says she hasn’t forgotten how he betrayed her and her mother. She warns him not to mistake her silence for weakness.
Aditi asks Jhanak not to speak to Aniruddh like that. Jhanak replies that she spoke only the truth. She says she respects Aditi and will not break her promise to her, but she will not tolerate insults from Aniruddh. She also says she wants the police to investigate because she is not afraid. She leaves. Aniruddh vows to teach her a lesson and tells Aditi not to tell anyone that the police will arrive the next day.
Meanwhile, Sanjhbati returns home with Dritimaan. Her mother taunts Dritimaan, who says he understands she is angry. Kaka says Dritimaan made the decision alone. Dritimaan tells them to scold him but not to ignore him. Sanjhbati’s mother says everything has changed and blames him for ruining Sanjhbati’s life. She insists he acted selfishly and didn’t think about her daughter. Sanjhbati says she already discussed the matter with Dritimaan, but her mother argues that they never agreed to anything and will not support him.
Sanjhbati’s mother adds that there is no guarantee he won’t betray them again. Dritimaan admits his mistake was big but says his intentions were good. Kaka says they will never agree to the marriage. Sanjhbati tells them that she will never go against her family. Her mother says Sanjhbati can leave with Dritimaan if she wants. Sanjhbati replies that Dritimaan has suffered too. Her mother insists she will never forget how much her daughter suffered because of him. Sanjhbati assures she won’t marry him without her family’s approval. Dritimaan says he will wait for her and hopes that one day they accept him, then leaves.
Elsewhere, Rishi apologizes to Jhanak. He asks if she can’t see someone is trying to frame her. Jhanak wonders why he is getting angry now when she was the one insulted. She says she is used to facing hardships. Rishi says he completely trusts her and believes she will achieve something big someday. He urges her to make Nutan proud. Jhanak asks what she can do, and Rishi says he will support her.
Jhanak replies that she knows he is always ready to help, but he should remember he is a married man, and following her everywhere might cost him his own happiness. Rishi says he will still stand by her and that she deserves respect. Jhanak says she doesn’t believe she can fight anyone in reality and asks him to return to his room.
Aditi arrives and asks what they were discussing. Rishi says Jhanak was wrongly accused. Aditi says her parents want the police involved—not because she suspects Jhanak, but because she needs the truth. Rishi agrees to let the investigation happen. Aditi asks Jhanak to rest. Jhanak says she wants to wait for Dritimaan. Aditi reminds her she is not the daughter-in-law of the house. Jhanak says she is waiting as Dritimaan’s sister and assures she will not try to take anything away from Aditi. Aditi retorts that Jhanak couldn’t if she tried. Jhanak says she has no such intention and leaves. Rishi agrees that Jhanak is right and goes inside.
