Jhanak Today Episode 08 January 2026
The episode starts with Mishti expressing that Jhanak is incapable of handling tasks properly, and that Sanjhbati should not have assigned any work to her. Sanjhbati asks Mishti why she holds such an opinion of Jhanak, mentioning that Jhanak has been helping her mother a lot recently. Sanjhbati’s mother praises Jhanak for making delicious tea, and Dadabhai agrees. Rishi reprimands Mishti, but Abhimanyu defends Jhanak, claiming that Rishi is always biased in her favor. Dritimaan steps in, urging Abhimanyu to calm down.
Aditi arrives with her parents, and Arshi encourages her to cooperate with Aniruddh. Tanushri is thrilled to see Aditi and greets her with a hug. Kaka expresses his happiness over Aditi’s family’s arrival. Aditi apologizes for being late, and Neelu thanks Arshi for coming. She mentions how much they missed Aditi. Aniruddh points out that his family has suffered because of Rishi, yet Aditi hasn’t divorced him yet, which is why they’re here. Arshi notes that Dritimaan and Sanjhbati were personally invited, so they couldn’t skip this function. Sanjhbati’s mother expresses her happiness over their presence.
Aniruddh decides he will punish Jhanak before the court can pass its verdict. Tanushri invites Aditi to accompany them to the Chatterjee house, but Aditi declines, saying she misses them but can’t go right now. Tanushri reassures her that everything will be fine. Aditi asks for a moment alone with Rishi, and Rishi responds that since only family is present, she can speak in front of everyone. Indumati urges Aditi to perform the rituals as the daughter-in-law of the Chatterjee family. Aditi agrees, gifting Sanjhbati a necklace. Sanjhbati comments on its expensive appearance, and Arshi playfully says that Sanjhbati is as expensive as the necklace.
Sanjhbati accepts the gift and asks if Aditi won’t be returning to the Chatterjee house. Aditi asks, “What about Jhanak?” Rishi responds that Jhanak is his responsibility. Aditi questions why Jhanak is his responsibility when she’s staying with Sanjhbati. Indumati intervenes, asking them to not discuss it further. Tanushri states firmly that Jhanak will not return to the Chatterjee house. Jhanak enters with juice, and Aditi expresses a desire to speak to both Rishi and Jhanak. Rishi dismisses the need for it, but Aditi asks if he will speak on behalf of Jhanak. Jhanak responds that Aditi has already said enough about her and Rishi, and that she only meets him for important matters, like the marriage.
Aditi questions what Jhanak was doing holding Rishi’s hand in a restaurant, to which Jhanak replies that Aditi misunderstood the situation. Arshi urges Jhanak to withdraw the case, claiming that their family is respectable and doesn’t want to go to court. Rishi sarcastically remarks that now he understands why they are here. Jhanak stands firm, saying she will not withdraw the case against Aniruddh. Aniruddh tries to manipulate Jhanak, suggesting that she should focus on her career and accept money for her studies. Rishi firmly states that Jhanak doesn’t need Aniruddh’s help, as he will take care of her education.
Jhanak responds, asking why she should accept Aniruddh’s money when he never accepted her as his daughter. Arshi questions why Jhanak accepts Rishi’s help, and Rishi clarifies that he has a special bond with Jhanak, explaining that their forced marriage means he will not abandon his responsibilities. Aditi presses Rishi, asking if he has no other responsibilities. Rishi defends his actions, and Tanushri interrupts, telling him to stay quiet.
Dritimaan suggests they should celebrate his and Sanjhbati’s marriage. He asks Jhanak to serve juice to everyone, and as she does, Aniruddh secretly spikes one glass. Aditi unknowingly drinks the tainted juice and soon feels dizzy. Aniruddh notices and pushes her drink away, asking if she’s okay. Aditi collapses, and everyone rushes to her aid. Aniruddh urges her to wake up, while Arshi accuses Jhanak of poisoning the drink. Jhanak denies any wrongdoing, but Arshi insists that Jhanak is responsible for trying to harm Aditi.
Rishi is left confused, while Tanushri accuses Jhanak of trying to eliminate Aditi. Arshi threatens Jhanak, warning that if anything happens to Aditi, she will not spare her.
Later, Jhanak asks Rishi why he hasn’t gone to the hospital yet. Sanjhbati’s mother expresses regret that such an incident occurred on their special day. Rishi inspects the juice glass and wonders why only Aditi fainted. Kaka insists that Aditi’s condition is serious and urges Rishi to take her to the hospital. Rishi agrees and takes a sample of the juice, while Jhanak continues to deny any involvement. Rishi reassures her that he believes she is innocent, and Jhanak apologizes to Sanjhbati’s mother.
Sanjhbati’s mother recalls a past incident where Jhanak was expelled from the hostel, but Rishi defends her. Kaka points out that anyone might snap if they feel targeted by everyone, and Jhanak questions why she would harm Aditi. She pleads with them to stop suspecting her, but Kaka stresses the seriousness of Aditi’s condition and the possibility that she may not survive. He suggests there’s no poison in the house.
Rishi starts to wonder if Jhanak may have mixed something harmful in the juice, and he prepares to leave for the hospital. Sanjhbati’s mother asks where he intends to take Jhanak. Kaka warns that the police will likely come to investigate, and they cannot handle the situation. He urges Rishi to take Jhanak and leave. Jhanak understands the gravity of the situation and goes inside to pack her things. Kaka advises Rishi to focus on Aditi and not let others influence him. He reassures Rishi that Aditi’s family isn’t behind this incident, and his family isn’t responsible for trying to hurt her either. Kaka adds that only Jhanak stands to gain if something happens to Aditi. Jhanak is taken aback by this statement. Rishi, however, declares that Jhanak will remain innocent unless proven otherwise.
