One by one, the students mention the tree, its branches, the sky, the bird, and everything around it. Since their focus is divided, Dronacharya refuses to let them shoot. Even Duryodhan, eager to prove himself, fails to give the correct answer and loses his chance. Disappointed by his students’ lack of concentration, Dronacharya expresses his frustration.
Just then, Arjun steps forward and respectfully requests permission to answer the question. Although he is still serving his punishment, he humbly asks his guru for one opportunity.
Dronacharya agrees and allows Arjun to take his position. Arjun calmly draws his bow and says that he cannot see the tree, the branches, or even the bird. He says he can see only the eye of the wooden bird.
Impressed by Arjun’s unwavering focus, Dronacharya gives him permission to shoot. Arjun releases the arrow, and it strikes the bird’s eye with perfect accuracy.
Everyone is amazed by Arjun’s extraordinary concentration. Dronacharya proudly asks how he developed such remarkable focus despite his recent punishment.
Arjun humbly replies that his difficult experiences taught him the value of discipline, patience, and complete attention.
