The episode begins with Aparajita recalling her recent moments with Rakshit. She is brought back to reality when Rakshit stops his car in front of her. He opens the door and asks her to get in, explaining that he cannot let her travel alone at that hour.
During the journey, Aparajita asks Rakshit not to remain angry with her. She tells him that his smile is important to some people and recalls how his jokes and cheerful nature often made her smile.
Meanwhile, Urmila is furious and feels embarrassed after Avinash and Rashmi elope. Malti blames Urmila for forcing Rashmi, while Bua insists that Avinash is the right choice for Rashmi. Soon, Avinash and Rashmi return with ice cream and reveal that they want to get married with all the proper rituals. Urmila takes Rashmi away.
Rakshit drops Aparajita at her house. Aparajita tells him that their relationship has become so weak that he followed her only to find out whom she was meeting. Rakshit replies that there is no relationship between them anymore and says that Aparajita never loved him. He declares that he has ended their friendship. His words deeply hurt Aparajita.
Back home, Malti questions Aparajita about where she had been. Aparajita admits that she went to Rakshit’s house and quietly goes to her room.
Meanwhile, Rakshit returns to his room and remembers Aparajita feeding him. He feels that God gave their incomplete story a beautiful beginning but closed every possible path to its completion.
Malti later talks to Aparajita and tells her that she could have waited until morning, but she could not control herself after seeing tears in Rakshit’s eyes. Aparajita wonders what is happening to her. Malti explains that such pain comes when someone becomes deeply connected to another person and says Aparajita will eventually find her own answers.
Later, Malti tells Ramgopal that Aparajita is changing and may be falling in love with Rakshit. She also regrets slapping Sudha. Ramgopal asks her to trust God and wait. Avinash overhears their conversation.
The next morning, Aparajita leaves for the office but begins imagining Rakshit everywhere. Rashmi calls her and immediately realises that she is thinking about him. Aparajita denies it, but Rashmi reveals that Avinash has already told her everything.
Rashmi advises Aparajita to apologise to Rakshit and even confess her love. Aparajita calls Rashmi crazy and leaves for the office.
At the office, Aparajita again hallucinates Rakshit. She closes her eyes when she sees him and then accidentally walks into him. Rakshit catches her before she falls. The two look at each other and share a smile, leaving their growing feelings impossible to ignore.
