In today’s episode, Anupama wishes Happy Independence Day to Manohar, Jignesh, and Hasmuk. She asks Hasmuk where he had been, and he tells her he attended the society’s flag hoisting. When Anupama questions why he didn’t inform her, Hasmuk explains that he thought she might be busy practicing dance. The moment makes Anupama recall past Independence Day celebrations. Soon, she shifts the topic to Ansh’s marriage. Jignesh jokingly asks whose marriage it is and then declares that he too should get married since he isn’t that old. Manohar and Hasmuk tease him, while Anupama decides to attend a nearby flag hoisting and also visit the temple.
On her way, Anupama notices a woman dressing her son for the celebration. At first, she smiles, but then she sees the lady carelessly throw garbage on the road. When a sweeper asks her to put it in the bin, the lady rudely says it’s the cleaner’s job to pick up waste. Anupama steps in and firmly explains that sanitation workers deserve respect because they work tirelessly to keep the city clean. Her words touch the young boy, who immediately picks up the trash and throws it in the bin. The sweeper, the boy, and a little girl salute Anupama, who proudly celebrates Independence Day.
Elsewhere, Pari tells Mahi that Ansh has sent Rakhi pictures, and they’re glad to have celebrated together after a long time. Rahi, however, pauses at Anupama’s photo. Pari teasingly asks if she is jealous seeing Anupama happy with the dance ranis. Rahi denies it, claiming she isn’t affected by Anupama or her new family.
Later, Anupama prepares haldi for Ansh and Prarthana’s pre-wedding rituals. Bharti notices her emotional state. Anupama recalls Samar and reflects on how life has moved forward, with Ansh now about to get married. Bharti tells her that the chawl celebrates Independence Day together and suggests that Prarthana’s family should be part of the wedding.
Meanwhile, Prarthana worries about the Kotharis’ disapproval. Anupama advises her to try once more to convince them. Feeling helpless, Prarthana says she has failed to make her family understand her love for Ansh. Encouraged by Anupama, she agrees to talk to them but requests Anupama to accompany her.
Elsewhere, Parag asks Gautam to return home. Gautam suspects Parag wants to send him away to avoid drama at Prarthana’s wedding. Soon after, Anupama and Prarthana visit the Kotharis. Their arrival angers the family, and Rahi immediately questions Anupama for coming with Prarthana. Calmly, Anupama counters that instead of questioning her, Rahi should ask why Prarthana feels too scared to face her own family alone.
Prarthana pleads with the Kotharis to attend her wedding, but Vasundhara remains firm in opposing her relationship with Ansh. Standing with her, Parag and Khyati also reject the marriage. Anupama then confronts Parag, giving him a strong lecture for not accepting Prarthana and Ansh’s love.
