Rishi enters the scene, and the inspector explains that he is conducting an investigation. Rishi assures him that they will cooperate fully. The inspector then asks if everyone was present on the day of the incident. Dadabhai confirms that the marriage registration of Dritimaan and Sanjhbati took place that day, so everyone was indeed there. The inspector then mentions that he wants to speak with Jhanak, and Dadabhai asks Putul to bring her.
The inspector requests a detailed account of the events from that day. Indumati provides her version of the story, followed by Tanushri, who claims that Jhanak had offered juice to Aditi, who fainted shortly after drinking it. Rishi tells the inspector that he submitted the sample for testing, and the inspector reveals that the results confirmed the presence of poison in the juice glass. This suggests that someone had deliberately poisoned it. Dadabhai inquires about the source of the poison, and the inspector states that his team has also investigated Aniruddh’s house. Now, they will be searching Chatterjee’s house.
Jhanak arrives at the scene, and the inspector questions her about the events of that day. Jhanak admits she’s confused, saying that she prepared juice for everyone but didn’t know Aditi’s family would be attending the wedding. The inspector asks if she was pleased to see Aditi’s family there, and Jhanak responds affirmatively. Rishi advises her to be cautious with her answers. The inspector continues his interrogation, asking if Jhanak knows how poison ended up in the juice glass. Tanushri interjects, accusing Jhanak of being happy to see Aditi because she had long planned to eliminate her. She further claims that Jhanak could have easily accessed poison from the medical college lab. Dadabhai reminds Tanushri that the investigation is still ongoing and nothing has been proven yet.
Sanjhbati adds that no one witnessed the incident, so they cannot accuse Jhanak or anyone else for sure. The inspector turns to Jhanak and asks who she believes the culprit is. Jhanak insists that she didn’t do anything, and the inspector presses her, suggesting that the authorities believe she is responsible. Jhanak challenges him to provide proof. The inspector asks her if she isn’t afraid, but she stands firm, stating that no one has provided any solid evidence against her. The inspector suggests that since Jhanak prepared the juice and handed it out, it’s possible that she already had poison and mixed it into Aditi’s glass.
Jhanak questions where the proof is. The inspector tells her that the proof will come in court. He then asks if she suspects anyone from Rishi’s family might have tried to harm Aditi. Jhanak is puzzled, asking why they would do such a thing. The inspector presses further, asking if she thinks Aditi’s parents or Sanjhbati’s family could be involved. Back at Chatterjee’s house, Jhanak tells the police inspector that she has no loved ones in the family, which is why no one considered that angle and immediately accused her. The inspector asks who she is implying is guilty. Jhanak says she’s not accusing anyone, but points out that Aniruddh has always disliked her, and it’s possible he brought the poison to harm her. She adds that Aniruddh would stand to benefit if she were gone. She questions why she is being treated as a suspect, but the inspector assures her that they are simply doing their job. Jhanak urges the inspector to look into Aniruddh as well, and the inspector agrees that they will investigate everyone. Rishi supports this point, and Dadabhai insists that the truth must come to light. Neelu taunts Jhanak, claiming no one thinks like she does. Indumati accuses Jhanak of using Aniruddh as a scapegoat to save herself. The inspector then says they will start by searching Jhanak’s room for the poison container, and Neelu leads him there.
Meanwhile, Arshi asks Aniruddh if Jhanak has lost her mind. He responds that Jhanak is simply desperate. At Sanjhbati’s house, her mother informs Kaka that Sanjhbati and Dritimaan will be coming over for lunch. Dritimaan and Sanjhbati arrive shortly after, and Dritimaan checks on Sanjhbati’s mother, who is clearly unsettled by the situation. She hopes the police won’t return. Sanjhbati offers to make tea, but Kaka insists they won’t let her do any work. Sanjhbati’s mother laments that they couldn’t even perform any post-marriage rituals. Dritimaan reassures her that things will improve soon. He then mentions that Jhanak is accusing Aniruddh of being behind the poison. Sanjhbati’s mother questions why Aniruddh would want to harm Aditi, and Sanjhbati speculates that perhaps Aniruddh was trying to kill Jhanak instead.
