The episode opens with Jhanak telling Dadabhai that she will stay in the hospital to take care of him, since only one person is allowed with the patient. Putul reminds her that her family won’t permit this, but Jhanak insists she wants to remain by Dadabhai’s side. Dadabhai supports her and says he will talk to the doctor because he wants Jhanak to stay. He also tells her that he wishes to see her enter his house with dignity. Jhanak asks him to stop talking and rest, while he jokingly tells Putul that his mother has come to look after him.
Putul teases that she is jealous, but Dadabhai lovingly says he loves all three of his daughters equally. Jhanak becomes emotional, admitting that her father never accepted her, and Dadabhai’s words mean a lot. She vows to ask her biological father one day why he rejected her. Though she wants to meet him, she says she will never accept him. Putul wonders how she will find him, and Jhanak replies that she believes she will, someday.
Dadabhai advises her not to dwell on it right now. Jhanak then tells him she must fight for Nutan’s honor, and Dadabhai proudly assures her that she will definitely win. Putul leaves to bring food, and Jhanak encourages Dadabhai to sleep.
Meanwhile, Aditi warns Rishi’s family not to give each other false hopes. Abhimanyu declares that for them, Aditi is already their daughter-in-law. Surjeet adds that Aditi knows well what happened with Rishi in Simulboni. But Aditi says she no longer cares about right or wrong—she is not the same Aditi anymore and feels confused. She reminds them that villagers came because Jhanak is Rishi’s wife.
Rishi replies that it doesn’t matter to him, as that marriage holds no value. Aditi asks what he has done to annul it. Rishi explains it was a forced marriage, and though he did nothing legally, he told Dadabhai they could simply pay money to resolve the matter. Aditi questions what right he had to offer money, and Rishi answers that it was out of humanity. Aditi then ends the argument and says she wants to meet Dadabhai. Rishi agrees to take her in and asks what he can do to regain her trust. Aditi only says she will heal with time.
Later, Putul suggests to Jhanak that they eat in the canteen. Jhanak asks if Dadabhai will be fine alone, and he assures her that he will. As they leave, Aditi enters with Rishi. Aditi questions why Jhanak hasn’t returned to the village, and Rishi mocks Jhanak as being as shameless as her villagers. Jhanak responds firmly, saying she could have claimed her rights on him if she wanted to, but she never did, because she doesn’t want such a relationship. She clarifies she came only to see Dadabhai. Aditi tells her to leave now that she has seen him and even tries to drag her out, causing Jhanak’s bag to fall. Vermilion and bangles spill onto the floor.
Neelu demands to know why Jhanak is carrying these things, and Tanushri orders her to leave. But Jhanak refuses, declaring she will not go until Dadabhai recovers. She also tells Aditi that she owes her no explanation for being there.
