The episode opens with Rishi telling Jhanak to change her clothes before entering his house.
Soon, Rishi arrives home with Jhanak and warns her not to create any drama. Everyone is delighted to see him. Tanushree hugs him and asks how he is, to which Rishi replies that he’s fine. The family then notices Jhanak. Rishi informs them that Jhanak will be staying at their house from now on. Shurjeet curiously asks who she is.
Rishi tells Jhanak to introduce herself. Jhanak says she came with Rishi in search of work and assumes the family might need a maid. She adds that she can manage all household chores and even take care of cattle. Tanushree questions Rishi about bringing a maid so suddenly. Indumati wonders if Jhanak is capable of doing household work. Rishi responds that she came with him against his will.
Badam asks what she has in her bag. Jhanak replies it’s just clothes. Dadabhai comments that ‘Jhanak’ is a nice name and asks Rishi if he checked her background. Rishi nods. Dadabhai then asks Jhanak if her family is fine with her staying here. Jhanak says she came to the city to support her family financially and that her mother sent her here. She begins narrating a dramatic story, pleading with them to let her stay and work. Dadabhai jokes that Rishi has brought home a filmy maid.
Shurjeet asks if Jhanak will be okay staying without her parents. Jhanak remembers Nutan encouraging her to pursue her dreams and replies that she won’t leave unless they throw her out. Rishi, exhausted, says he’s hungry and goes inside.
Indumati reminds Jhanak that work in the city is very different from the village. Jhanak confidently says she’s smart and will learn quickly if taught with kindness. Payal comments that Jhanak speaks well and adds that she always wanted a full-time maid. Tanushree remarks that Jhanak is a young unmarried girl. Jhanak tells her not to worry about that. Following Indumati’s instruction, Putul takes Jhanak inside. Kaju and Badam joke that they thought Jhanak had brought sweets in her bag. Jhanak tells them a made-up story.
Meanwhile in the village, Sakhi urges Nutan to eat something. But Nutan refuses, worried about Jhanak. Sakhi tries to reassure her, but Nutan insists that Parashar must have already found Jhanak. Sakhi replies that they don’t even know Parashar’s whereabouts. Nutan then wonders if Rishi will keep Jhanak happy. Just then, Dhamu arrives with Mangal and Veer. Nutan anxiously asks about Jhanak. Mangal says Parashar met Rishi and might know how to contact him. Nutan asks when Parashar will return. Sakhi says they don’t even know if Rishi has accepted Jhanak as his wife.
Elsewhere, Aditi is getting ready.
Bablu asks if she has spoken to Rishi. Aditi replies that they’re meeting at 4 PM in a restaurant. Bablu points out it’s only 2 PM, yet she’s already dressed. Arshi interrupts and says she needs the car, asking Aditi to meet Rishi later. Aditi says she’ll take a cab instead. When Arshi questions the need for it, Aditi insists she knows what she’s doing and leaves. Arshi comments that Aditi is just as stubborn as Aniruddh.
Rishi then calls Aditi and says he can’t wait to see her. Aditi responds that she’s also longing to meet him. Rishi says she has no idea what he’s going through and ends the call. Unbeknownst to him, Jhanak overhears their conversation. Rishi sees her and asks what she’s doing there. Jhanak asks if he was talking to Aditi. Rishi sternly warns her not to interfere in his personal matters. Jhanak walks away quietly.
At the same time, Ishani reaches her mother’s house.
Ambika hugs her and asks what happened. Ishani asks if this is not her home and says she will never return to Shashwat’s house. Ambika inquires if they fought and reminds her that married women must adjust in their in-laws’ homes. Ishani says she tried but can’t anymore. Ambika questions if she came here just to become a burden. Ishani then reveals that Jeet has come back into her life, and that Shashwat and the family believed his lies. She pleads with Ambika not to treat her this way and breaks down in tears, saying she can’t take it anymore. Ambika embraces her.
