The episode begins with Ishana revealing to Kusum that Kapil slapped Adit in front of everyone. A stunned Sowmya asks if Adit had attended Mangal’s engagement. Ishana calls Kapil evil, while Sowmya tells Kusum that Mangal deliberately humiliated Adit in front of his colleagues.
Meanwhile, Mangal confronts Kapil. She acknowledges that Adit’s behavior at the engagement was inappropriate, but reminds Kapil that he also made a mistake by slapping Adit in front of Ishana. She points out how much Ishana loves her father and that witnessing such a moment would have hurt her deeply. Kapil admits he was wrong and sincerely apologizes. “I tried to control myself,” he says, “but I lost it when Adit insulted you and my mom.” Mangal agrees that Adit was at fault but emphasizes that he was drunk and not in his senses—whereas Kapil was fully aware. Kapil folds his hands and pleads, “Please forgive me. I couldn’t bear to see my mother insulted. Try to understand my emotions.” Mangal softens and admits she only agreed to the marriage for her mother’s sake, but Shanti didn’t let her tell the truth.
Elsewhere, Sowmya continues to manipulate the situation. She tries to provoke Kusum by claiming Mangal is ruining Adit’s life and says she can’t bear to see him humiliated any longer. In a shocking move, she hands Kusum a knife, suggesting she end Adit’s suffering once and for all. Horrified, Kusum drops the knife and asks what she’s saying. Sowmya claims Mangal has vowed to destroy Adit and insists she can’t stay silent. Kusum is left shaken and confused. Meanwhile, Sowmya thinks to herself, “Now Kusum is completely against Mangal. She’ll never forgive her.”
Later, Shanti questions Mangal and Kapil about what’s going on. Kapil explains that Mangal is planning to visit Adit’s house to collect her things, and he offered to accompany her. When Kapil steps aside to take a call, Shanti sternly warns Mangal: “You now belong to Kapil’s family. Don’t go to Adit’s house. Don’t forget how he insulted you, Kapil, and Pratima.” Mangal calmly replies, “I’m not married yet, so I can’t stay here either. Lipika said our house will be ready tomorrow, so we’ll shift there.” Shanti agrees but insists again that she avoid Adit’s house.
The next morning, Kusum receives a call from Shanti, informing her that Mangal is coming to collect her belongings and asking her not to interfere. Kusum lashes out, accusing them of condoning Kapil’s violence. Shanti defends Kapil, saying he and Pratima could have filed a police complaint but chose not to. She reveals that Adit came to the engagement drunk and insulted both Kapil and his mother. Shanti adds that Mangal wants to move forward, but Adit won’t let her. She firmly warns Kusum not to play emotional games and ends the call. Kusum is left speechless.
Adit wakes up with a hangover, and Kusum, furious, throws water on his face. She demands to know where he went and what he did. Adit, in pain, asks her to leave him alone, but she forces him to swear on her and confess. Sowmya tries to interfere, but Kusum silences her. Adit finally admits the truth. Kusum raises her hand in anger but stops herself. “Kapil only slapped you once,” she says. “If I had been there, I’d have slapped you many more times.” She scolds him for his disgraceful behavior. Adit claims he was not in his senses, but Kusum demands that he apologize to Mangal and her family. When he and Sowmya refuse, she warns Sowmya not to interfere again and insists Adit make amends. He storms off instead.
Just then, the doorbell rings. Kusum opens the door to find Mangal and Kapil standing there. Mangal discreetly hides her engagement ring. Kusum asks if she’s come to collect her belongings, and Mangal nods silently. Kusum allows them in. Adit, dressed for work, steps out and sees them. He recalls Kusum’s harsh words and slowly walks toward Mangal.
