The episode begins with Ved gazing at Aarti, feeling that she resembles his mother. He tells Sonal that he likes her. Sonal informs him that Aarti is about to leave, but Ved insists she’s not going anywhere—this is the first time he’s truly liked someone. He shows Aarti’s photo to a painting of his mother and asks if she would approve of Aarti.
Meanwhile, Padma offers Aarti a lehenga to wear for the wedding. Aarti replies that she has seen a better one. When Padma asks which one, Aarti takes out Anjali’s lehenga from the wardrobe and says she would prefer to wear this for her wedding. Padma reminds her that the lehenga belongs to Anjali and tells her not to wear it. Aarti questions why.
Ganesh steps in, telling Aarti that if they’re asking her not to wear Anjali’s lehenga, she should respect that. Aarti asks why he’s being so harsh and demands to know the reason. Ganesh explains that Anjali, her mother, wore that lehenga at her wedding and is now a widow—it carries memories and emotions. Aarti responds defiantly, saying that since Anjali wore it for her wedding and created beautiful memories, she too wants to wear it for her special day. She turns to Anjali and asks for permission, requesting her to blink if she agrees. Anjali blinks, and Aarti takes it as her consent.
Later, Ved tries calling Aarti, but Kali answers the phone instead. Mistaking her for Aarti, Ved says, “I love you.” Realizing the mix-up, he angrily scolds Kali for answering Aarti’s phone. Kali quietly hands the phone to Aarti.
Ved then asks Aarti who answered her phone. Aarti explains that it was Kali, who is like a sister to her, and asks what happened. Ved tells her he thought it was Aarti and mistakenly confessed his love to Kali. Aarti is taken aback but excited. After Ved ends the call, she joyfully shares the moment with her family, celebrating the fact that Ved said “I love you” to her.
Elsewhere, Pankaj confronts Laal angrily for preventing him from meeting the reporter working on the human trafficking case. He warns that the reporter’s life is now at risk, as the traffickers are searching for her. Pankaj demands Laal to call her immediately.
Laal calls Aarti, and when she answers, Pankaj takes the phone. He urgently tells her that her life is in danger. Aarti, annoyed, argues with him for interfering. Pankaj reminds her that she recently covered a sensitive human trafficking story and is now being targeted. Aarti replies that she’s still working on the story and plans to do a live stream soon. Pankaj warns her again and insists she needs police protection, but Aarti refuses and dismisses the idea.
