The episode begins with the lawyer informing Pratima that Kapil cannot be bailed out immediately, as the process will take time. Pratima silently worries that Mangal might be with her ex-husband. Just then, Mangal arrives and urgently says they don’t have much time. She asks Pratima if she met Kapil and then tells the lawyer that the police recovered an earring from the crime scene, proving a woman was present there. She asks him to secure it temporarily, and he agrees before leaving. Mangal then shares her suspicion that Monisha was at the crime spot. Pratima scolds her, saying she has already tried bribing the police and now has given the lawyer risky work too, questioning if she wants more trouble. Mangal denies this, insisting she never sent any bribe, and wonders who did so in her name.
Later, Kusum asks Mangal to prepare a herbal jadi-buti potli for Adit, just like she once prepared for her. Mangal agrees, while Kusum says she’ll feed the children and leaves. Mangal begins preparing the potli, but when she realizes she forgot to add tulsi and neem leaves, she steps out to get them. In her absence, Sowmya sneaks in and deliberately overheats the potli, hoping that when Mangal uses it on Adit, he will get hurt and Kusum will throw Mangal out of the house.
Mangal returns and brings the potli to Kusum. Together, they test it on Adit. Mangal carefully checks the heat first and only then applies it on him. Sowmya, watching, is stunned when nothing goes wrong. Kusum happily notes that Adit seems to be feeling better. Just then, Ishana arrives, and Mangal explains how to continue Adit’s care. She then confronts Sowmya, saying she witnessed her plan but assures she has no interest in interfering between her and Adit. Mangal firmly states that her only concern is her children’s father’s recovery and scolds Sowmya for risking his life, warning her not to repeat it. At that moment, Mangal receives a call from the lawyer and steps aside.
Mangal later shows the earring to a shopkeeper, asking if it came from his shop. He confirms it did. She requests the buyer’s details, but he hesitates. After she pleads, explaining that an innocent man’s bail depends on it, he finally agrees and hands over his record book. They check but find nothing useful. An irritated Pratima says Monisha’s name isn’t listed and accuses Mangal of wasting her time. Mangal, puzzled, wonders aloud—if it’s not Monisha’s, then whose earring is it?
Meanwhile, Akshat rushes in, announcing that Adit has woken up. The family hurries to his room and is relieved to see him better. Sowmya opens her arms to him, but to everyone’s shock, Adit runs straight to Mangal and hugs her tightly. Mangal tries to release herself, but Adit refuses to let go. When Sowmya asks him to leave her, he pushes her away, clinging even tighter to Mangal. Frightened, he says he saw a cockroach. Akshat explains it was just a toy, but Sowmya angrily asks what drama he is creating. Adit stuns everyone by saying he doesn’t know her and asks her to stay away.
When Kusum lovingly calls him “Adit beta,” he looks at her and replies, “Who are you, aunty?” Kusum breaks down, saying she is his mother, but Adit firmly denies it, insisting he doesn’t know any of them. The entire family stands shocked.
