The episode opens with Rishi declaring that he has become a part of Jhanak’s life. He asks his family to imagine what the villagers will say if they see Jhanak all alone. Dadabhai reminds him that the law applies equally to both villagers and them. At that moment, Putul hands over Jhanak’s letter to Rishi, which he immediately reads. Indumati worries that if anything happens to Jhanak, they will all be in trouble. Putul questions how Indumati can even say such a thing. Tanushri then taunts Putul, saying she herself left her husband because of his harsh words, and now she is complicating Rishi’s situation when she couldn’t even handle her own. Putul defends herself, saying she understands Jhanak’s pain. Rishi stops them from arguing and guesses that Jhanak might have gone to Aditi’s house. He asks Payal to call Aditi.
Payal calls Aditi and informs her that Jhanak has left home. Aditi dismisses it as one of Jhanak’s new dramas. Payal insists that Jhanak left a letter behind. Aditi suggests Jhanak might be doing all this just to gain sympathy. She tells Payal she and Aniruddh will come over and then hangs up. Meanwhile, Rishi calls Jhanak and asks where she is. Jhanak replies that she has boarded a bus to Simulboni. Rishi quickly asks if she is still at the bus stand, to which she says yes. Without wasting time, he disconnects the call and rushes out. Seeing this, Putul proudly says Rishi knows how to distinguish right from wrong.
A little later, Rishi feels uneasy. He questions why Jhanak is coming between him and Aditi when everything seemed fine earlier. Still, he tells himself that he cannot let Jhanak go, especially since she once saved both his job and his dignity. He calls her again and tells her that the bus has already left the stand, but he will meet her at a roadside dhaba where it is bound to stop. Jhanak warns him not to drive recklessly and asks him to say whatever he needs to say now. But Rishi insists she wait for him at the dhaba.
Back at home, Aditi asks the family where Rishi is. Indumati explains that he left after reading Jhanak’s letter. Aniruddh disapproves, saying Rishi should not have gone after her. Aditi accuses Jhanak of playing games with Rishi and recalls to Aniruddh what Jhanak once told the police inspector. Tanushri remarks that they are glad Jhanak is gone, and Rishi only followed her to ensure she doesn’t land into trouble.
Dadabhai then speaks up, pointing out that Aditi is upset because Jhanak claimed to be Rishi’s wife in front of the police. He reminds Aditi that she left out what the inspector had asked Rishi. When Aniruddh asks if Rishi is truly Jhanak’s husband, Dadabhai firmly says that no such talk exists in their household. He stresses that Jhanak has saved Rishi multiple times, yet instead of being grateful, Aditi keeps accusing her. He argues that if Jhanak’s intentions were bad, she wouldn’t have left in the first place.
Meanwhile, Jhanak tells Rishi that she will wait at the dhaba until the bus halts there.
