The episode begins with Mangal announcing that Rishi and Jhanak are asleep. Aditi replies that Rishi has been locked in a room and asks where his room is. Kanka, understanding Aditi’s distress, points out a room. Sakhi tells Aditi that Rishi and Jhanak are a couple. Aditi snaps that she didn’t come to listen to such nonsense and promptly knocks on the door Kanka indicated.
Rishi opens the door and is stunned to find Aditi there; Jhanak is equally shocked. Aditi confronts Rishi, asking how he can share a room with Jhanak. Rishi pleads with her not to jump to conclusions. Aditi calls him a cheater; Rishi begs for a chance to explain. Aditi insists she understands everything and accuses Jhanak of being characterless. Jhanak tells Aditi to stop and urges her to speak with Rishi—if he trusts Rishi, then so should she. Jhanak warns Aditi not to insult her, insists she didn’t force Rishi to come, and says he came willingly. She explains that Rishi stayed to attend Nutan’s shradh, and while she sympathizes with Aditi, she won’t tolerate insults.
Rishi asks to speak with Aditi alone, insisting he’s done nothing wrong. Aditi asks him to come with her and they talk in the car. Rishi explains he must attend Nutan’s shradh and suggests they leave afterward. Jhanak requests Rishi to go with Aditi immediately. Parashar objects, saying Aditi has no right to take Rishi away. Jhanak declares she won’t return to Kolkata. Sakhi questions why Jhanak would abandon her husband and in-laws.
Aditi asks Rishi whether he loves both her and Jhanak. Rishi replies that he promised Nutan he would always support Jhanak. Hurt, Aditi storms off.
Later, Aditi arrives at Rishi’s house. Abhimanyu asks what happened in Simulboni. Aditi reveals that Rishi and Jhanak slept in the same room the previous night and that the villagers are pleased Rishi is supporting Jhanak. She admits that since Rishi chose to attend Nutan’s shradh, there’s nothing she can do. Indumati asks what Rishi is up to; Aditi says he has accepted Jhanak as his wife. Tanushri refuses to believe it.
Aditi accuses Rishi of betraying her and calls herself a fool for going to Simulboni for him. She urges the family to accept Jhanak because Rishi is happy. Tanushri, ashamed and in tears, asks how Rishi could do this. Aditi declares she has ended her relationship with Rishi. Abhimanyu questions her statement. Aditi asks why she should give Rishi another chance after this betrayal. Surjeet says Rishi should never have gone to Simulboni; Payal cannot believe he did this. Indumati insists they will not accept Rishi and Jhanak’s marriage. Aditi replies that Rishi doesn’t care. Tanushri threatens to commit suicide if Rishi accepts Jhanak as his wife and vows to cut ties with him.
