The episode begins with Lakshmi worrying about finding a new job and lamenting that she doesn’t even have enough money for an auto. Just then, Karan arrives and holds an umbrella over her. Surprised, Lakshmi apologizes for misunderstanding him the previous night and realizes he had actually helped her. Karan asks her to come inside the company, but Lakshmi refuses, saying she’s been fired and warning him about Barkha. Karan calmly replies that Barkha only asked for her, then walks away. Lakshmi wonders why he didn’t call her “Barkha ma’am.”
Lakshmi meets Barkha, who tells her, “I’m giving you a second chance because you’re hardworking. But don’t repeat your mistake or mess with the boss again. Go and apologize to him.” Lakshmi says she’s never even met the boss, but Barkha dismisses her explanation and sends her to Karan’s office.
When Lakshmi enters the boss’s cabin and sees Karan, she’s confused and asks, “Why are you here? Are you the boss’s assistant? Did you complain about me—that’s why I was fired?” She adds that surviving in this city without a job is not easy. Karan smiles and tells her to stop talking nonsense before revealing that he is, in fact, the boss. Shocked, Lakshmi apologizes. Karan tells her not to repeat her mistake, saying KK doesn’t like giving second chances, and leaves. Lakshmi walks out of the cabin, berating herself for arguing with her boss.
Later, her coworkers ask what she’s brought for lunch. Lakshmi replies, “Rajma chawal,” and shares it with everyone. But while serving Shankar, some curry accidentally spills on Karan’s shirt. Angrily, Karan scolds her for ruining his designer shirt and throws away her spectacles. “I gave you a final warning, but you’re a complete mess,” he says before storming off. The workers notice Lakshmi’s lunch has fallen and invite her to share theirs.
Soon after, Barkha approaches Lakshmi, pretending to sympathize. “I felt bad when I heard your lunch fell, so I brought you some dal,” she says, only to pour it over Lakshmi on purpose. Gayabhi smirks, saying, “Now we’re even.” Barkha taunts Lakshmi, “You’re not worthy of competing with me.” Lakshmi firmly replies, “My food fell on Karan by mistake, but you did wrong by wasting good food.” Barkha warns her not to trouble her or her brother, or she’ll be fired and sent back to her village. Swetha mutters that both siblings are the same.
Later, Swetha asks Lakshmi to get ready for the office party. Lakshmi refuses, but Swetha insists and offers her a dress. Lakshmi says she’ll attend in her usual clothes. Swetha also gives her repaired spectacles, and Lakshmi thanks her.
At the party, a client questions Barkha about inviting her staff. Embarrassed, Barkha mocks Lakshmi for wearing the “worst dress” at a fashion company event. Lakshmi defends herself, saying people shouldn’t be judged by their appearance. When Barkha tries to tear Lakshmi’s dress to make it look “modern,” Lakshmi stops her and asserts, “My work is my identity, and I’ll wear what I like. You enjoy your party.” Friends pull Barkha away, and Swetha tells Lakshmi that Barkha has lost her mind. Lakshmi says they’ve seen enough and decides to leave.
Just then, a Karthik song begins playing. Everyone starts talking about Karthik, but Lakshmi suddenly feels dizzy, has a panic attack, and accidentally falls, breaking the music speaker. Barkha angrily says, “That’s Karan’s favorite—why did you ruin it?” Lakshmi insists it was an accident and promises to fix it. Gayabhi whispers that Karan will surely fire her this time.
Moments later, Karan enters the party with his friend Maddy, cheerful and unaware of the incident. When he learns his favorite speaker is broken, he immediately asks who’s responsible. Someone points to Lakshmi.
