The episode begins with Payal reading Surojit’s letter aloud in front of everyone, breaking down in tears. Indumati refuses to believe it and insists they speak to Surojit directly. However, Payal declares that even if he returns, she will not accept him, as her self-respect matters more than anything, and she cannot continue living in that house. Indumati opposes her decision, saying she cannot leave, but Payal questions what rights she truly has there. Sanjhbati reassures her that the family will sever ties with Surojit, not with her. Overwhelmed, Payal questions why she was betrayed and insists that Surojit will never return. Indumati, deeply hurt, says she will never forgive him and asks Abhimanyu to call him, still unable to believe he could do such a thing. Abhimanyu comforts Payal, urging her not to blame herself and assuring her that she will continue to live there with full respect and rights, while Surojit has lost his place in the family.
Tanushri insists that Surojit must come back and answer for his actions, but Payal asks them not to involve her, as she cannot bring herself to question why he abandoned her. Rishi suggests speaking to Surojit to clear any misunderstandings, but Payal firmly tells everyone not to defend him, pointing out that he is not a child and was not manipulated into this decision.
Indumati reminds Payal that she is not dependent on Surojit and that the entire family stands by her. Dritimaan encourages her to focus on her work if she wishes, while Jhanak reassures her that this is her home. Feeling remorseful, Payal apologizes to Jhanak for raising her voice earlier, and Jhanak responds with a comforting hug.
Meanwhile, Abhimanyu calls Surojit and confronts him about the letter, scolding him for betraying Payal. He warns that neither he nor Dadabhai will accept him if the contents of the letter are true. Surojit admits his wrongdoing, calling it a sin, but says he cannot turn back. Jhanak questions how he could act this way despite being the elder of the family and urges him to take responsibility. Dritimaan suggests resolving any issues he may have had with Payal, but Surojit confesses that he considers himself a bad person and now wishes to live with Hemlata. He even says he is willing to marry Hemlata if he obtains a divorce from Payal. Hearing this, Payal calmly states that she is ready to grant him a divorce.
Surojit tells Payal to forget him and move on, while Abhimanyu firmly instructs him never to return to the house, reminding him that he has already lost that right. Indumati declares that they will erase him from their lives. Sanjhbati tries to reason with him, warning that he is making a grave mistake and urging him to think about his children. Payal, maintaining her dignity, refuses to beg him to accept her. Before ending the call, Surojit asks everyone to take care of Payal and admits that although he betrayed her, he still loves her. Payal immediately stops him from saying such things, and Abhimanyu disconnects the call. Rishi expresses his disbelief at Surojit’s actions, while Jhanak reflects that people are capable of anything and cannot always be trusted.
In the end, Abhimanyu assures Payal that she will never have to leave the house. Sanjhbati adds that the family would fall apart without her. Payal, however, insists that she cannot continue living in Surojit’s house. Abhimanyu reassures her once again that it is her home and promises that Surojit will face the consequences of his actions.
