The episode begins with Tulsi announcing that she has chosen the person who will take responsibility for the Virani house. Niyati and Damini fail to earn her trust, leaving everyone shocked when Tulsi hands the household keys to Vaishnavi, the youngest daughter-in-law.
The family is stunned by the decision. Karan questions Tulsi’s motives and accuses her of taking revenge on her own son. He reminds Gautam that he always opposed Tulsi and Vaishnavi and claims Tulsi humiliated Nandini by making her follow Vaishnavi’s instructions.
Tulsi firmly replies that although Karan is her son, it does not automatically make Nandini her daughter-in-law. Karan says he no longer cares about her decisions but makes it clear that he has no intention of leaving the house.
Niyati questions Tulsi for overlooking Damini. Tulsi says she made the decision after careful thought. She appreciates Niyati’s concern but remains firm that Vaishnavi deserves the responsibility.
Shobha also asks Tulsi to reconsider. Tulsi explains that her decision is based on capability, not age. She believes Vaishnavi has the potential to unite the family as the new choti bahu.
Although Gautam is happy for Vaishnavi, he suggests that Damini should receive the keys first and train her. Tulsi agrees that Damini will guide Vaishnavi. She then asks Gautam about Mihir’s whereabouts, but he avoids the question and quietly leaves.
Damini tells Tulsi that Vaishnavi is still new to the family. Tulsi insists she deserves a chance. Damini reassures Vaishnavi that they will handle everything together, while Vaishnavi feels overwhelmed by the responsibility.
Vaishnavi asks Tulsi to take the keys back, saying the responsibility is too great for her. Tulsi encourages her not to be afraid. She explains that the head of the family is like the thread that keeps everyone united.

Tulsi overhears them and firmly says she made the decision after careful consideration. She reminds everyone that this is her house and her rules. She says she neither owes anyone an explanation nor seeks anyone’s approval.
Karan refuses to back down and accuses Tulsi of being unfair to his family. In a shocking confession, he admits that he wrote the letters in Mihir Virani’s name. He then tells Tulsi to accept that Mihir hates her, leaving Tulsi heartbroken.
Sahil overhears the confession.
Later, Sahil calls Karan and Gautam into a room and locks the door. He confronts them about the truth they have been hiding.
Both brothers deny knowing anything. Sahil questions them about Mihir’s disappearance and reminds Karan that he admitted to writing the letters in Mihir’s name.
Gautam tells Sahil to stay out of the matter. Karan also asks him not to interfere.
Hurt by their behavior, Sahil reminds them that he is also a member of the family. He says he cannot understand why they are shutting him out. Karan and Gautam are left speechless by his emotional confrontation.
