The episode begins with the groom’s family asking Ganesh for his granddaughter’s name. Meanwhile, Aarti appears on live television, boldly reporting, “I am journalist Aarti, who never backs down,” as she fearlessly exposes a girls’ trafficking racket.
The groom’s family requests to see Aarti’s photo, and Ganesh hands them a picture. At that moment, the groom notices Aarti on TV, bravely confronting and overpowering the goons. He immediately points at the screen and tells his family, “That’s the same girl!”
Stunned by Aarti’s boldness on live television, the groom’s family lashes out at Ganesh, accusing him of misleading them. “You said she’s a ‘sanskari’ girl, but she’s out there behaving like a rowdy!” they exclaim. Without giving Ganesh a chance to explain, they storm out in anger. Pradeep mocks the situation, saying, “That makes it 50 rejections for Aarti—half a century completed.” Enraged, Ganesh fumes, “Let her come home! I’ll teach her a lesson. She’s turning out just like her mother.”
Meanwhile, Raghav sits solemnly before Aman’s photograph. Abhay tries to comfort him, reminding him that tomorrow marks Aman’s death anniversary. Raghav sighs, “It’s been 21 years since Aman left us, yet it still feels like he’s around.” Abhay gently asks how long Raghav plans to isolate himself and avoid the courtroom. Raghav replies with deep pain, “I’ll step into court only when I find Aman’s killer. What was my son’s fault that he was murdered?”
Just then, Ganesh calls. Raghav immediately snaps, “Why do you call at this time every year?” Ganesh humbly requests permission for Anjali to attend Aman’s barsi, reminding him that she’s Aman’s widow and they share a daughter. Raghav coldly responds, “What daughter are you talking about?” Ganesh remains silent. Raghav continues harshly, “We have no relationship with your family. Don’t call me again.” When Ganesh insists that Anjali has a rightful place in the family, Raghav retorts, “If you want rights, go to court. I’ll answer you there!”
Just then, Aarti enters and asks Ganesh who he was speaking to. She tries to take the phone, but Raghav has already disconnected the call. Abhay, puzzled, asks what’s going on. Raghav mutters, “Ganesh wants a share of my property through that so-called daughter. Our lives were shattered the day Anjali entered this family.” He pauses, unsettled, “That voice on the phone… it didn’t sound like Anjali. Who was trying to speak to me?”
Aarti then confronts Ganesh, questioning him about the call. She presses him about why he makes the same call every year on this date, always pleading for her mother’s rights. She asks directly if he was speaking to her father’s family—and whether they live in Delhi. Ganesh refuses to answer. Aarti pleads with him to tell her the truth, but Ganesh dismisses her, saying it’s none of her concern.
He then scolds Aarti for going out and taking on goons when she was expected to be home to meet the prospective groom’s family. “We thought getting you married would put an end to our troubles,” he says with frustration. At that moment, Sapna arrives, complaining that Anjali is refusing to eat unless Aarti feeds her. Aarti takes a breath, calms herself, and heads off to care for her mother.
