The episode begins with Arjun falling ill after enduring the harsh punishment at the Gurukul. Worried about his brother’s condition, Bheem approaches Guru Dronacharya and requests more food for everyone.
However, Dronacharya refuses to make any exception. He serves only a small portion of fruits and even instructs his wife not to provide the students with any extra food or help.
The limited meal disappoints both the Pandavs and the Kauravs. Despite their complaints, Dronacharya remains firm, saying that a true warrior must learn to survive with very little. He believes discipline, endurance, and self-control are far more important than comfort.
Meanwhile, Ashwathama arrives at the royal palace of Hastinapur, where the elders warmly welcome and bless him.
The king honors Ashwathama by presenting him with a sacred pot of Sanjivani juice. Shakuni also greets him and offers special gifts, strengthening their bond.
Back at the Gurukul, the Pandavs and Kauravs divide the available fruits equally among themselves. Even after sharing the food fairly, everyone remains hungry.
The Pandavs worry the most about Bheem because his large physique requires much more food than the others. Understanding his brother’s needs, Yudhishthir selflessly gives his own share to Bheem.
Similarly, Duryodhan divides his portion among his brothers, showing his concern for the Kauravs.
Unknown to all of them, Dronacharya is deliberately putting the princes through these hardships to prepare them for their future battle against the mighty giant Bantal, who possesses extraordinary strength.
Unable to bear the hunger, Yudhishthir and Duryodhan head into the forest in search of food.
During the journey, both of them realize the heavy responsibility that comes with being the eldest brother. Despite being rivals, they briefly understand each other’s struggles and the duty of protecting their younger siblings.
Elsewhere in Hastinapur, Gandhari confronts Shakuni over his behavior toward the Pandavs. She expresses her disappointment, believing he has treated them unfairly.
Shakuni reminds her that he can never forget the humiliation and injustice suffered by the Kingdom of Gandhar. However, Gandhari refuses to accept revenge as an excuse for his actions and criticizes his unchanged mindset.
