The episode begins with Nandini inviting Ishani to go shopping with her, but Ishani refuses. Nandini complains that Ishani isn’t willing to accompany her, as she wants to buy some clothes for her. Shashwat suggests that Ishani should go along so she can also pick a dress for Yash, but Nandini insists she already knows his taste well. Ishani argues that since Nandini has been with Yash since childhood, she knows him better than Ishani does, and therefore she has no need to join. Shashwat’s sister mocks Ishani, implying that Nandini is more capable and responsible in the house. Ishani admits that Nandini may be better in some ways, so she can handle the shopping alone. Didi angrily complains that she doesn’t like Nandini staying in the house and reminds Shashwat that she had asked him to find a separate house for her. Ishani clarifies that she never said she disliked Nandini staying; she only didn’t want to accompany her shopping.
Meanwhile, Shashwat reads a lawyer’s letter and appears lost in thought. Nandini asks him to convince Ishani, but he tells her to leave Ishani alone—if she isn’t interested, there’s no point in forcing her. Elsewhere, Anurag instructs Pihu to deliver some notes to Ishani discreetly, warning her that no one else should see them. Pihu observes that Ishani refuses to step out of her comfort zone, sitting at home even after completing her studies. Anurag explains that Ishani is in a difficult position—she lacks the strength and support to confront her family and fears being kicked out. Pihu expresses her wish to see Ishani being bold and invites Anurag for coffee. He declines, citing that he already had coffee with her on Ishani’s birthday. Pihu teasingly asks if he treats Ishani specially, prompting him to admit he does, a little.
Back at the house, Didi mocks Ishani for being incapable of handling the family business like Nandini and suggests she stay at home. Ishani argues that her role is to cook and serve food on time, emphasizing that she is fulfilling her responsibilities. Shashwat tells her that she is over-dramatizing, as the catering service will handle the meals the next day. Didi demands Ishani serve the food, but Ishani replies that she has already cooked and they can serve themselves, leaving Didi embarrassed. Later, Pihu teases Anurag, asking if he loves Ishani at all. He admits he does, a little, which prompts her to demand a more definite answer. Eventually, he nods in agreement. Ishani apologizes to Didi for being rude earlier, explaining that she spoke back because she could not accept the constant humiliation. She also expresses her suspicion that Nandini and Shashwat’s relationship might be more than a typical Bhabhi-Devar bond. Didi defends them, while Ishani points out that Yash and Pihu are grown up and can notice everything, which could harm the family’s reputation. She adds that she gives respect only because of money.
