Anurag clarifies that Ishani is only a student now—not in the past. The professor asks if he was in a relationship with her before.
Anurag admits he knew Ishani when they were both students and that they were about to marry, but fate separated them. He explains Ishani is now trapped in an abusive marriage, and meeting her again rekindled his love, which never faded. He insists Ishani still loves him too. “What crime have I committed by loving someone?” he asks, accepting that if needed, the principal may fire him.
The principal asks why he hid the truth. Anurag replies it was personal and he didn’t want Ishani dragged into controversy. She reminds him that Ishani is a married woman now, questioning how he can step into her life. Anurag defends himself, saying he has never tried to break her marriage—only to support her as a friend, because she receives no respect in her husband’s house. He then announces his resignation. The principal advises him not to take rash decisions and offers to transfer him to another branch instead. She assures him that she has understood Shashwat’s real nature.
The professor wonders why Ishani herself said nothing. Anurag explains that Ishani, as a married woman, has chosen to adjust with Shashwat, even without happiness, because she has no other option. The professor says Ishani seemed fine with her husband. Anurag replies that if that’s true, he’ll leave her life, but requests the principal to tell Shashwat that she fired him to satisfy his ego. Later, Pihu grabs Anurag’s hand. He pulls away, but she follows him, confessing her love. Anurag refuses to listen, but Pihu threatens suicide if he rejects her—and warns she won’t spare Ishani either. Anurag insists Ishani is innocent. Pihu retorts that he must love Ishani deeply to protect her so fiercely. She vows she will have Anurag at any cost.
Calling her delusional, Anurag declares that although Ishani left him, he still loves her. Pihu argues Ishani is married and accuses him of being responsible if she dies. Anurag coldly says the only person he cares about is his mother. Heartbroken and furious, Pihu says his indifference will not stop her—she won’t let him have Ishani and will force him to accept her.
