The episode begins with Anurag asking Ishani how much longer she needs before they get married. He says his mother keeps asking him the same question repeatedly. However, Anurag questions why she needs to be so involved with Shaswat’s case. Ishani firmly replies that she’s only fulfilling her duty and doing what’s right, adding that she’s tired of constantly having to justify herself. She asks why she always has to explain everything to everyone.
Anurag, frustrated, says her reasoning doesn’t make sense to him and accuses her of not loving him. Ishani, exasperated, says she’s done explaining and if he wants to end things, he can. She adds that she’ll soon pass her exam, get a job, and won’t need anyone’s support. Anurag bitterly remarks that he was only ever a “need” for her and that she’s just avoiding the truth. He also brings up the love letter incident, suggesting it reveals her real feelings. Ishani counters that the letter he gave her caused chaos in her house and disrupted her son’s wedding. Anurag angrily tells her to stop calling Piu and that man her son, but Ishani insists it’s her choice and no one can question it. Their argument escalates, and both leave in anger.
Later, at home, Ishani compliments Didi’s cooking, saying the food tastes amazing. Didi happily says she made everything especially for Ishani since she had an important exam that day. Piu also praises the food, and Pishi teasingly says she should learn to cook since she’ll need it after marriage. Piu laughs and says her husband will cook instead. Shaswat jokingly asks if there’s someone special she’s referring to. Piu denies it at first, saying she was speaking generally, but blushes when he mentions his doctor friend. When asked again, she admits she likes the man and that his gentle nature melts her heart.
Anurag then says that after the court case ends, they should start preparing for Piu’s marriage. While everyone chats cheerfully, Nandini suddenly enters and claps sarcastically, taunting the family. Her comments lead to another heated argument. Unnoticed by everyone, Ishani secretly records the entire confrontation on her phone.
