Vihaan, overwhelmed with emotion, says he can’t live without her. Gauri gently tells him he must stay strong for a few months and learn to smile again—for the sake of the family. Vihaan confesses his love for her, and the entire family breaks down in tears, their pain mirroring Gauri’s own heartbreak.
Through her tears, Gauri recites a poetic farewell to Vihaan, asking him to stay strong and promise her that he will live. Vihaan watches helplessly as Gauri falls from a cliff into the river below—the apocalyptic storm halts, signaling that her sacrifice has saved the world. Gauri has given her life for everyone. Vihaan awakens from a haunting dream in which he sees himself killing Gauri. Startled and breathless, he wakes up calling her name, and stands silently before her photograph, lost in grief.
