The episode begins with Rishi waiting for Jhanak outside her exam center. As Jhanak steps out, she notices him, and the title song plays softly in the background. Rishi asks how her exam went, but Jhanak questions why he is there. Rishi explains that since he dropped her off, he came to pick her up as well. Jhanak reminds him that his actions often create trouble for her, especially because Aditi dislikes his involvement in her matters. She urges him to respect Aditi’s feelings. Rishi, however, asks her to get on the bike first as they have to go out to eat.
Jhanak refuses and tells him to spend his time and money on Aditi instead. Rishi then shows her a small vermilion box he brought for her, saying she likes applying it. Shocked, Jhanak questions what right she has to wear vermilion, recalling the unpleasant incident at Aniruddh’s house. She admits that applying it that day was a mistake.
Rishi, disappointed, decides to throw the box away, but Jhanak stops him, saying vermilion should never be disrespected. Rishi points out that he brought it for her, but since she doesn’t want it, he doesn’t know what to do with it. Jhanak finally tells him she will keep it, but asks why he is giving it to her and what their relationship means. Rishi replies simply that he gave it because she liked it. Jhanak firmly tells him that her preferences shouldn’t matter to him.
When Rishi tells her to get on the bike, Jhanak reminds him that he already promised Nutan to take responsibility for her. She thanks him for his help but insists he stop worrying about her and focus on keeping Aditi happy, as she is his wife. Rishi asks about her future, and Jhanak assures him she’ll manage on her own. Her dream is to become a doctor and serve the people of Simulboni. She finally agrees to go with him. As the bike starts, she holds onto him, and they share a brief eye lock before she scolds him for starting too soon.
Meanwhile, at home, Neelu notices Aditi’s sadness. Tanushri asks what’s wrong, but Aditi insists everything is fine. Neelu then mentions that Rishi dropped Jhanak at the exam center and wonders if he told Aditi. Aditi says she didn’t know. Tanushri adds that Jhanak will leave for Simulboni in two days since her exams are over, or stay in a hostel if she gets admission to a college. Aditi bitterly remarks that Rishi would prefer to keep Jhanak in their house.
Tanushri criticizes Rishi for ignoring advice not to get too involved with Jhanak, accusing Jhanak of taking advantage of his kindness. Neelu adds that Rishi might have gone to pick her up again.
Just then, Rishi enters with Jhanak. Aditi taunts that Rishi is now fulfilling Jhanak’s duties. Rishi calmly explains that since he dropped her off, he picked her up too. A furious Aditi asks Jhanak if she plans to ruin her marriage before leaving. Tanushri calls Jhanak shameless and accuses her of acting like she has rights over Rishi. Indumati adds that Jhanak pretends to be helpless to gain sympathy.
Jhanak defends herself, saying she never asked Rishi for help and requests Aditi not to be angry. Aditi snaps at her to stay quiet. Rishi, frustrated, says it was a simple matter and he’s tired of constant fights. Aditi storms off angrily, saying he can do whatever he wants.
Tanushri warns Rishi that he’s destroying his marriage, while Indumati says he’s hurting Aditi by chasing after Jhanak. Neelu agrees, saying Aditi isn’t wrong for feeling possessive. Jhanak tells Rishi once again that she is not his responsibility.
Rishi silently walks upstairs. Tanushri asks when Jhanak plans to leave since her exams are done. Jhanak replies firmly that she will leave the house tomorrow and stay in a hostel after her college admission.
