The episode opens with Aniruddh meeting Rishi at the hospital, expressing relief that Rishi has received a clean chit. Rishi thanks him for speaking to his senior officer but admits the clearance was possible only because of Jhanak’s statement. Dadabhai and Putul are stunned by this revelation. Aniruddh then asks about Jhanak’s accident. Rishi explains that he was slightly distracted and the heavy Ganesh Chaturthi traffic caused the mishap. When asked if Jhanak’s family knows, Rishi says he hasn’t been able to reach them and plans to visit Simulboni.
Aniruddh questions if Rishi will really go back to Simulboni. Rishi insists that since Jhanak’s condition is critical, she must see her mother. Aniruddh points out that Aditi won’t be happy with this, but Dadabhai interrupts, saying Jhanak is on her deathbed and since Rishi caused the accident, he must do everything possible for her, regardless of Aditi’s opinion. Aniruddh further advises Rishi to inform Jhanak’s father as well.
Rishi, however, clarifies that Parashar is not Jhanak’s father, revealing that her father abandoned her mother. Aniruddh refuses to believe it, but Rishi defends Nutan, saying it’s unfair to judge her. Aniruddh cautions him not to trust villagers blindly, hopes for Jhanak’s recovery, and leaves.
The next day, Rishi reaches Simulboni, where he learns Nutan is unwell and Parashar is absent. When Sakhi questions his sudden arrival, Rishi says he needs to speak to Nutan and goes inside. Nutan immediately asks about Jhanak’s condition. Rishi informs her about the accident but reassures her that the surgery went well. Nutan then asks if he has accepted Jhanak as his wife. She acknowledges his love for Aditi and recalls that she too had faced the same situation, remarking that history seems to be repeating itself.
Rishi is left puzzled. Nutan shares how she struggled to secure Jhanak’s place in society and, sensing her end may be near, wants to share her life story with him. She urges Rishi never to neglect Jhanak, even if he cannot fully accept her.
Meanwhile, Aniruddh is haunted by Jhanak’s confession that she is carrying his child. He mutters that she shouldn’t have betrayed him with Parashar. Bablu and Anjana overhear him mentioning Jhanak’s name. Anjana wonders if he recently spoke with her, but Aniruddh tells himself he must stop thinking about Jhanak. Just then, Aditi informs him that Rishi has gone to Simulboni again, and Arshi warns them that Rishi cannot be trusted.
Back in Simulboni, Nutan tells Rishi that though Parashar loves Jhanak, he is not her father. Rishi promises to take responsibility for Jhanak and her education, determined to make amends for ruining her life. Finally, when he asks who Jhanak’s real father is, Nutan reveals the shocking truth—Aniruddh Bose is Jhanak’s father.
