The episode opens with Jhanak accidentally spilling food all over the table, leaving everyone shocked. She quickly apologises, but Aditi’s friend scolds her harshly for ruining the meal and even insults her with names. Jhanak defends herself, saying this is exactly why she avoids eating with them. Aditi reprimands her, insisting that such behaviour shows a lack of basic manners, and complains to Rishi about his constant support for Jhanak. Rishi criticises Jhanak, mocking her failed attempt to prove herself. Even Aniruddh points out that she should have eaten with her hands instead. Rishi continues insulting her, but Jhanak reminds everyone that they forced her to join the meal. When she tries to defend herself, Rishi scolds her again. Aditi steps in, asking Rishi to calm down, but also tells Jhanak that she needs to learn proper manners. She asks Jhanak to continue eating, but Jhanak refuses. Rishi then demands that Jhanak apologise to everyone. Shocked, she hesitates, but eventually says sorry and walks away. Aditi thinks to herself that such moments will help Rishi realise Jhanak is wrong.
The next day, Rishi and Aditi return to his home, where Rishi’s mother and Neelu warmly welcome them. They eagerly ask Aditi to share what happened. Aditi recounts how Rishi failed to find her hand during the blindfolded ritual and mistakenly thought Jhanak’s hand was hers. Both Rishi’s mother and Neelu are upset by this. Rishi explains that the mistake happened because of his blindfold and urges Aditi to forget the matter since he has already apologised. Neelu, however, puts the blame on Jhanak. Just then, Jhanak arrives. Surprised, Rishi’s mother questions her presence. Aditi explains that Rishi brought her here because he feared Jhanak might face problems at her own house and worried he could not fulfil his responsibilities towards her. Jhanak tells the family that she plans to return to her village after completing her exams.
Soon, Dadabhai and Putul arrive with Mishti and Abhimanyu, bringing news that Jhanak’s board exam results have been released. Nervous, Jhanak anxiously waits to know her marks. Neelu mocks her, saying she should prepare for media interviews since she must have topped the exam. When Rishi’s parents ask Mishti about her results, she explains that the server is down, so she hasn’t been able to check yet. Rishi also tries but finds the site still unavailable. Abhimanyu taunts Jhanak by comparing her studies with Mishti’s.
Dadabhai then announces that he already knows Jhanak’s result, shocking everyone. Rishi’s parents assume he used his influence to check early and scold him for not doing the same for Mishti. But Dadabhai clarifies that he didn’t use any influence—he simply read the news. He reveals that Jhanak scored the highest marks and ranked third in the state. Everyone is stunned, and Jhanak becomes emotional, while Rishi looks proud. Rishi’s mother and Neelu refuse to believe it until Dadabhai shows them the newspaper proof, leaving them deeply upset.
Overwhelmed, Jhanak wishes her mother were there to share her happiness. She dedicates her success to Nutan, Dadabhai, and Putul. Aditi tells her to stop crying, but Jhanak responds that Aditi cannot understand her pain because her mother is still with her. Aditi falls silent. Abhimanyu then asks Mishti to check her result. Neelu finds out that Mishti missed her distinction by just two marks. Mishti’s parents scold her, though Rishi defends her. When Mishti tries to explain herself, her mother shuts her down. Frustrated, Abhimanyu leaves for work.
Meanwhile, Rishi’s mother taunts Dadabhai for wanting to celebrate Jhanak’s success and scolds Mishti again, making her upset. She goes inside. Aditi reminds Rishi about his important presentation, but he decides to stay back and help Jhanak prepare for her media interview. Irritated, Aditi leaves. Rishi then asks Jhanak to take his blessings, which she does.
Elsewhere, Arshi learns about Jhanak’s result and praises her character. One of Aniruddh’s relatives recalls Nutan’s struggles and says she was also a bright student, just like Jhanak. Aditi remarks that cracking medical entrance exams won’t be easy for Jhanak, and she is curious to see Mishti enter the medical field. They also discuss the government benefits Jhanak might receive because of her rank. Hearing this, Aniruddh reflects on the similarities between Nutan and Jhanak, but he ultimately refuses to accept Jhanak as his daughter, believing Parashar to be her true father.
