The episode begins with Katha telling UV that there’s a traditional belief that a husband and wife should share the same room after marriage. UV accuses her of using it as an excuse since she failed to defeat him during college, and then walks away. Katha feels hurt by his words.
Later, after freshening up, UV comes out of the bathroom and is shocked to see Katha setting up a bed for him. Katha calmly tells him that she will leave the room once everyone has gone back to theirs. UV accuses her once again and chooses to sleep on the sofa.
Katha looks at a photo of her mother and reflects on how her fate has turned out to be similar. Thinking the family must be asleep, she quietly steps out, unable to find her way to the terrace. Eventually, she decides to sleep on the kitchen floor. She tells herself that she will never hurt Mohan and Vandana and that she will sincerely fulfill her duties as both a daughter-in-law and a wife.
At midnight, UV wakes up and is shocked to find Katha missing from the room. He grows furious and complains that she’s making his life miserable, even calling her a “dangerous virus” in his life. When he fails to find her, he assumes she has left the house and feels briefly happy—only to remind himself that he’s not lucky enough for such relief.
He finally finds Katha in the kitchen and lashes out, accusing her of creating unnecessary drama and trying to turn the family against him. He demands that she return to the room. Katha defends her actions and refuses. She tells herself she also has self-respect.
Suddenly, UV forcibly covers her mouth with a cloth and drags her back to the room, leaving Katha in shock.
Once in the room, Katha demands that he let her leave or else she will scream. UV pleads with her not to make a scene and begs her to stay. Katha stands firm. In frustration, UV says he’ll do whatever she wants, as long as she agrees to stay in the room.
Katha sees an opportunity and agrees—on the condition that UV performs all the post-wedding rituals with her. UV is stunned and initially refuses, but Katha challenges his courage. Provoked, UV reluctantly agrees and leaves.
Katha quietly apologizes to God for what she’s doing. UV returns and coldly tells her that he will get her out of his life soon, no matter what. His words hurt Katha deeply. She recalls her promise to Eshwar and tells herself she has no desire to continue this marriage—but will stay for Eshwar and Mohan’s sake.
The next morning, Katha wakes up, freshens up, and goes to perform puja. At the house temple, Chandrika questions Rukmini about the other women of the house not being present. Rukmini defends her daughters-in-law.
Katha arrives and respectfully asks for permission to do the puja. Chandrika agrees, and Rukmini offers her support. Katha performs the ritual.
Later, UV’s cousin shows up and criticizes Katha. After the puja, Katha asks Charu to guide her about the responsibilities of a daughter-in-law. Chandrika overhears this and mocks Katha’s family for not teaching her these things. She decides to take it upon herself to train Katha.
Katha starts taking notes eagerly, which amuses the rest of the family. Chandrika questions her approach, while others suppress their smiles at Katha’s innocence.
