The episode begins with Gautam telling Nandini to send Karan to him if they want his help. Damini, Nandini, and Gayatri say his condition is impossible, but Gautam refuses to change his stand.
Karan finally approaches Gautam and asks him to take Rounak’s case. Gautam insists that Karan request him properly. Karan swallows his pride and pleads with Gautam to save his son. Surprised by Karan’s changed attitude, Gautam reminds him about his fees.
Samira criticizes Gautam for lacking humanity, but Gautam tells her to look at Karan’s behaviour first. Karan brings his cheque book and offers Gautam a blank cheque. Gautam demands ₹4.5 lakh per month for 12 months, making a total of ₹54 lakh, along with 12 post-dated cheques. Left with no choice, Karan agrees to all his demands.
Meanwhile, Vaishnavi and Nakul discuss Rounak’s alleged ₹3 crore scam. Vaishnavi urges Nakul to ask his father to help Karan. Nakul believes his father will never agree.
Vaishnavi reminds Nakul that family should stand together in difficult times. Nakul points out that the same family once wanted to throw her out. Vaishnavi cites Kaki’s example of humanity and says Rounak doesn’t deserve this. However, Nakul asks her not to get involved and believes Gautam is their only hope.
Later, Rounak is shocked to see Gautam and asks him to leave. Gautam tells him to stop acting because he is now his lawyer and the only one who can save him. He reveals that Karan personally came to him and even shows the signed cheque, leaving Rounak stunned.
Rounak asks Gautam if he can guarantee victory. Gautam replies that he is a professional lawyer and immediately starts questioning him about the case, saying time is running out. Rounak claims someone is trying to frame him and shares details about the person he believes is responsible.
Elsewhere, Karan and Nandini anxiously wait for updates. Nandini assures Karan that Gautam will handle the case, but Karan blames her for bringing Gautam into the matter. When Gautam arrives, he remarks that Rounak is just like his father.
Karan asks him to get to the point. Gautam explains that lawyer-client privilege prevents him from revealing details and asks Karan to trust him. He assures Nandini that Rounak is innocent and warns the family to stay alert because Karan’s business rival, Premchand, could be behind everything.
Later, Karan breaks down while talking to Parth. Feeling completely helpless, he says he misses Parth and feels crippled without him. He wishes Parth were there to help save Rounak and bursts into tears.
Sobha comforts Karan and reminds him that she considers him her own brother. She urges him to eat something before he falls sick. Karan says he cannot eat because the pain in his heart is unbearable. He asks Sobha to understand his feelings like a mother and admits he feels helpless while worrying about Rounak.
Remembering that Gautam once fought against Pari, Karan remains doubtful. However, Sobha encourages him to stay positive and assures him that Gautam will bring Rounak home safely. She asks Karan to keep faith.
