The episode opens with Lakshmi asking Mangal how she liked her surprise. Mangal replies that it reminded her of her childhood. Just then, Gayatri arrives and asks Lakshmi to let her meet Mangal too. Mangal greets her warmly.
Meanwhile, Adit wonders how he can quickly expose Kapil. He receives a video call from Sowmya, who demands to know why he has been ignoring her. Adit explains that it’s Raksha Bandhan, he’s busy making gifts for the kids, and Lakshmi has come to meet Mangal.
During their conversation, Sowmya spots Monisha stepping out of Adit’s washroom and questions who she is. Monisha thanks Adit for letting her use it and leaves. Sowmya, suspicious, remarks that she thought he was with Mangal and presses him about the woman. Adit lies, saying Monisha is his cousin visiting for Raksha Bandhan, and quickly ends the call.
Adit then decides to use Akshat to lure Kapil home. Gayatri promises Kusum she will visit her every week. Adit worries Lakshmi might learn the truth about Kapil and Monisha. Kusum asks Lakshmi and Mangal to tie rakhi, but Mangal playfully challenges Lakshmi to identify a dish first. If she wins, she can tie the rakhi first. Lakshmi guesses correctly and gifts Mangal a handmade apron. They both tie rakhi to each other, sharing a heartfelt moment.
While Adit waits for Kapil, Gayatri asks Kusum about Sudesh’s health. Kusum says Sudesh is doing well, thanks to Mangal. Lakshmi praises Mangal for managing everything so well, and Mangal says motherhood gives extra strength. Lakshmi expresses her wish to be a mother like Mangal someday. Gayatri tells Kusum it saddens her that such a wonderful daughter-in-law will soon leave for another home. Kusum says Mangal is like her own daughter.
Mangal then asks Lakshmi if she’s pregnant. Lakshmi says no, but they’re planning for a baby. Mangal is overjoyed. Kusum tells Gayatri that Lakshmi and Karthik have been married for a year and hopes Gayatri will soon become a grandmother. Gayatri’s expression turns displeased. Mangal prays for Lakshmi to have a baby soon, which Gayatri overhears.
Lakshmi prepares to leave, but Adit worries Kapil’s truth won’t be revealed if she goes. He tries to stop her but fails, and Lakshmi leaves with Gayatri.
Kapil arrives shortly after. Mangal asks why he’s there, and Kapil says Akshat invited him for lunch. Mangal tells him Lakshmi has just left and invites him to sit. Adit is frustrated that Kapil came too late. He then notices tension between Kapil and Monisha.
