The episode begins with Karan accusing Lakshmi of giving him the wrong keys while he was on a call, claiming her negligence embarrassed him in front of investors. Lakshmi calmly reminds him that she had explained everything. Karan, annoyed, tells her to stop arguing and accuses her of going out to party.
Lakshmi explains that she only attended the event at Dadi’s request to deliver an idol and that a gas leak occurred, during which she saved someone’s life. Karan mocks her, but Lakshmi reminds him that she once saved his Dadi’s life and that nothing matters more than saving others.
Karan then taunts her, saying she only got the job because of his grandmother and that her looks wouldn’t get her hired anywhere else. Lakshmi replies confidently that while she may not rely on her looks, she has intelligence and self-respect. She advises him to take responsibility for his own mistakes instead of blaming others. When Karan tells her to stop irritating him, Lakshmi states she answers only to Barkha Ma’am and walks away.
Meanwhile, Karthik recalls being humiliated at the event for not being able to sing. Later, he spots a job advertisement and decides to work until he finds a singing opportunity. He goes to Karan’s office, where Maddy tells him that the only vacancy is for folding sarees. On a call, Maddy mentions that Karan is looking for a singer and willing to pay any price. Hearing this, Karthik takes the saree-folding job, hoping to get closer to Karan.
In the saree room, Lakshmi notices the dim lighting and decides to inform Shankar. Karthik enters, and as they arrange the sarees, the partition collapses, causing the clothes to fall on them. Their hands touch accidentally. Shankar arrives and tells Lakshmi he’ll handle the new worker. Lakshmi leaves, while Shankar helps Karthik.
Later, Lakshmi visits Karan’s house to deliver Dadi’s medicines. Karan spots her at the party and questions her presence. Lakshmi explains her purpose, but Dadi intervenes, sending her a digital invitation and declaring her as a guest. Karan walks off angrily. Bhavani warns Dadi that girls like Lakshmi try to trap rich men, but Dadi shuts her down, saying she can judge people better and asks Bhavani not to insult her guest.
At the party, Barkha notices Lakshmi but gets no response when she calls Gyabi. Realizing she left her phone at the office, she goes to fetch it. Meanwhile, a man orders Lakshmi to serve drinks. Lakshmi firmly refuses, saying she’s a designer, not a server. When he tries to touch her, she pushes him away and draws a symbolic fire line, warning him not to cross it or face severe consequences. Vivek’s friends provoke him, saying Lakshmi insulted him, and Vivek vows revenge.
At the office, Barkha finds her phone and notices Karthik from behind. When he turns, she recognizes him from the Karwa Chauth party. After confirming, Barkha smiles and decides to take him along to the Diwali celebration.
