Mangal Lakshmi Today Episode 16 June 2025
The episode begins with Kusum offering to help Sudesh to the bathroom, but Mangal stops her, saying that he should try managing on his own. She assures Kusum that everything has already been arranged to make it easier for him. Kusum agrees, albeit reluctantly. Encouraged by Mangal, Sudesh enters the bathroom.
Outside, Kusum expresses concern over how Sudesh will manage by himself. Mangal reassures her that he can handle it. Moments later, they hear Sudesh cry out in pain after touching the hot water. Alarmed, Mangal and Kusum rush to the door, frantically banging and asking him to open it. Inside, Sudesh accidentally turns the tap further, increasing the flow of scalding water.
Adit and Sowmya arrive upon hearing the commotion. Kusum pleads with Adit to do something, worried about Sudesh’s condition. Sowmya nervously hopes he doesn’t fall, which annoys Kusum, who snaps at her for saying something so inauspicious.
Adit forcefully breaks open the door and finds Sudesh collapsed on the bathroom floor, badly burned. Furious, he glares at Mangal. They bring Sudesh to the living room, and Mangal quickly starts applying ice to his burns. Sowmya points out that Sudesh’s hand is severely injured. Mangal explains that she had already adjusted the water temperature and doesn’t understand how it became so hot.
Kusum scolds Mangal and takes the ice from her, insisting on caring for Sudesh herself. Adit angrily tells Mangal to stay away from his father and accuses her of putting on an act. Sowmya joins in, blaming Mangal for being careless and says if Adit hadn’t broken the door in time, the consequences could’ve been worse.
Adit lashes out, accusing Mangal of torturing his father and claims she deliberately hindered his recovery. Mangal defends herself, saying she had turned off the geyser and suspects someone must have turned it on afterward. But Adit isn’t convinced. He cruelly tells her to stop pretending like her mother used to and even says an animal would understand better than she does.
Hurt and humiliated, Mangal says she’s tired of proving herself repeatedly. She bitterly adds that helping Papa was a mistake and declares she won’t get involved anymore. Saying they can look after Sudesh without her, she storms off. Sudesh, barely conscious, weakly utters, “No, no…”
Elsewhere, Kapil asks Pratima why she didn’t go to the temple. She replies that she went to Mangal’s house instead and questions why Mangal keeps tolerating Adit’s disrespect. Kapil calmly responds that it’s Mangal’s life and her choice. As her friend, he won’t interfere beyond a limit. He requests Pratima to drop the topic and leaves, but Pratima is determined to make Mangal realize her worth.
Back at home, Kusum stops Mangal from leaving. Mangal insists she didn’t do anything wrong, but since Sudesh got hurt, it’s best she leaves. As she bends to touch Kusum’s feet, Kusum wipes off Mangal’s sindoor. Shocked, Mangal asks what she’s doing.
Kusum explains that if Sudesh ever finds out Sowmya is actually Adit’s wife instead of Mangal, it would break him — and Mangal might lose her husband. When Sowmya offers to take care of Sudesh, Kusum silences her, saying Sudesh will only heal if Mangal stays. She pleads emotionally with Mangal not to go.
Adit interjects, saying they can manage without Mangal and insists she should leave. But Kusum stands firm, declaring, “We may mean something to Sudesh, but Mangal means everything to him.”
Moved by Kusum’s words, Mangal gently comforts her and agrees to stay until Sudesh recovers.
