The episode begins with Shanti urging Kusum to hear the truth.
Kusum asks her directly what the truth is. Mangal intervenes and tells Shanti not to get involved in matters between her and Kusum. Mangal assures Kusum that she will speak for herself. As she attempts to do so, a glass vase falls, and a shard injures her arm. Seeing this, Shanti remarks that as long as Kusum is around, nothing good will happen to Mangal.
Mangal asks Shanti to stop speaking and tries again to say something, but Kusum interrupts her. Kusum warns Mangal that it’s better if she stays silent. She then tells Pratima that she’s leaving and walks away without another word.
Frustrated, Mangal lashes out at Shanti.
She accuses Shanti of interfering unnecessarily and says she doesn’t understand Kusum’s importance in her life. Mangal explains that no matter what happens, Kusum has always stood by her, and though she may distance herself from Adit’s family, she can never fully sever her ties with them.
Elsewhere, Sowmya is confused and upset.
She wonders how Pratima could fix Kapil’s marriage with someone else when she believed Mangal was the right match for him. Determined to know more, she calls Pratima. Mangal, who is nearby, hands over the phone.
As Shanti applies medicine to Mangal’s wound, Pratima takes the call.
Sowmya asks why she wasn’t informed about Kapil’s wedding and mentions hearing about a wedding pooja. Pratima confirms the wedding and reveals that the bride is none other than Mangal. Overjoyed, Sowmya ends the call with a smile.
But her happiness turns into cunning calculation.
She thinks Mangal might attempt to tell the truth to Kusum and Adit. Sowmya decides not to interfere directly and lets them find out the truth on their own.
Later, Kusum is in the kitchen when she drops something.
As she bends down to pick it up, she sees a hand and assumes it’s Mangal’s. She says she doesn’t need help, but Adit reveals it’s him. He questions why she’s doing all the housework and offers to call Mangal, but Kusum stops him.
Kusum then complains about Mangal keeping Shanti at Kapil’s house without informing them.
Adit responds that he already knows and that it’s no longer a concern, given they’ve cut ties with Mangal. He reminds Kusum that Kapil is not just Mangal’s business partner but also a close friend.
Just then, Mangal enters the kitchen and senses tension.
Adit instructs her to prepare food only for Sudesh, saying he’ll take the children out for dinner. He leaves without further conversation. Mangal tries to speak with Kusum, but Kusum refuses to engage and walks away.
Mangal later brings coffee to Kusum’s room.
She finds her sitting in silence, in the dark. Mangal gently tells her that her marriage with Kapil has been fixed and reveals that Shanti pressured her into agreeing. She asks if Kusum doesn’t even want to see her face anymore. Mangal adds that if Kusum applies sindoor on her tomorrow, she’ll take it as a blessing. She then leaves the room.
A twist is revealed: the woman in the room wasn’t Kusum—it was Sowmya in disguise.
After Mangal leaves, Sowmya removes the veil and smirks, pleased that Mangal now believes she told the truth to Kusum. She plans to let Kusum and Adit discover the truth on their own.
Later, Mangal sees Kusum and comments on her quick outfit change.
Kusum explains she changed for the Jagrata. Sowmya watches nervously, worried that Mangal may again try to confess the truth.
