The episode opens with Adit catching a chunri that was about to fall from Mangal’s plate and handing it back to her. Mangal thanks him and walks toward Kapil. Kapil informs Kusum that his mother has invited everyone to their home to celebrate Teej. Adit quietly mutters, “Why would I go to a place where I was humiliated?” Sowmya overhears this and quickly assures Kapil that they’ll attend. Kapil agrees and leaves with Mangal. Adit continues to watch Mangal closely, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Sowmya.
Meanwhile, Pratima is busy with Teej preparations. Shanti tells her that inviting Adit was a mistake. Pratima explains that she only did it out of courtesy, as she didn’t want Mangal to misunderstand her. She adds that if Adit has any self-respect, he won’t show up after being insulted there.
Mangal and Kapil arrive at his house, where Mangal greets everyone with warmth. Shanti tells her, “I’m glad God has brought happiness back into your life.” But Mangal responds that she has lost faith in such rituals. Pratima steps in and urges her not to punish Kapil for the past, encouraging her to observe the fast with full sincerity.
Later, Lipika offers Kapil some juice, but he refuses when he sees Mangal. She teases him, asking if he’s fasting for Mangal. Kapil brushes it off, saying he’s simply not hungry. Pratima then invites Mangal to choose bangles. Mangal selects a simple green pair. As the seller steps away, Kapil picks them up and asks if he can put them on her. Mangal agrees.
Adit, reluctant to go to Kapil’s house, is dragged there by Sowmya, who is determined to push Mangal out of his life. Upon arrival, Adit sees Kapil slipping bangles onto Mangal’s wrists. Sowmya slyly remarks that even though Kapil isn’t married, he always seems very close to Mangal. Kapil compliments Mangal, saying the bangles suit her, and she thanks him. Sowmya approaches and praises them as a beautiful couple. Then she asks Adit to select a pair of bangles for her. He obliges, and when she insists he put them on her, he does—but accidentally hurts her in the process. Adit apologizes and leaves. Kusum silently observes the entire exchange.
Pratima then announces that Mangal will perform the jula julayi ritual first. Hearing this, Sowmya tries to create a distraction by starting a dance and, amidst the chaos, loosens the screw on the swing. When the moment comes, she volunteers to sit first, but Shanti insists that Mangal should go first, as the event was arranged in her honor. Sowmya smirks, thinking, “Exactly what I wanted.”
Pratima asks Kapil to push the swing. Mangal sits down, unaware of the danger. Just as the swing is about to collapse, both Kapil and Adit rush in from either side and catch it, saving Mangal. A woman remarks, “Thank God her husband saved her.” Another sarcastically adds, “Which one—the ex or the present?”
Pratima instructs the workers to repair the swing, while the rest move on to the next ritual. The pandit begins narrating the Teej story. As Mangal and Kapil stand to shower flowers on the goddess’s idol, Adit’s reflection appears between them—symbolizing the emotional conflict still unresolved between the three.
Next, the pandit asks Mangal to spread dhoop throughout the house. Mangal takes the incense and begins moving room to room. Meanwhile, Sowmya smirks to herself, recalling how she had secretly mixed chili powder into the dhoop.
When Mangal enters the kitchen, she begins coughing violently due to the chili smoke. Clutching her chest and struggling to breathe, she panics, wondering what’s happening to her.
