The episode opens with Lakshmi nearly falling out of a window, but Karan rushes in and saves her just in time. As she regains her senses, Lakshmi questions why he held her. When Karan turns to go inside, she stops him, accusing him of acting like a boss. Annoyed, Karan makes a sharp remark, wipes his shoe with her designer cloth, and walks away. Moments later, Shankar arrives and tells Lakshmi he’s relieved that sir saved her in time. Lakshmi recalls the incident and feels guilty for scolding the man who saved her life. Curious, she asks Shankar who Karan is, but before he can answer, he gets a phone call about leaving the stove on and rushes off.
The next morning, Lakshmi prays to Maata Rani for strength and guidance before waking up her colleague, Swetha. Meanwhile, Karan instructs his assistant Gyabi to prepare Lakshmi’s termination letter. Shocked, Gyabi hesitates but obeys his orders. She goes to Lakshmi’s desk and starts throwing her belongings out. Startled, Lakshmi demands to know what she’s doing. Gyabi hands her the termination letter and says coldly, “I don’t know how you even got this job. Go back to your village—work there.” Lakshmi pleads, saying she needs the job and will speak to Barkha ma’am, but Gyabi tells her it wasn’t Barkha’s decision—the boss fired her personally. She adds that she doesn’t know what Lakshmi did to offend him and tosses her things out again.
Among her scattered belongings, Lakshmi finds a handkerchief with her and Karthik’s names embroidered on it. She holds it close, overcome with emotion. Some colleagues step forward to help, but Gyabi warns them to stay away, saying Barkha ma’am won’t spare anyone who interferes. Heartbroken, Lakshmi quietly packs her things and leaves the office.
Shortly after, Barkha calls Gyabi and instructs her to send Lakshmi to her cabin to discuss the new designs, as she’s on her way to the office. Gyabi nervously informs her that Lakshmi has already been fired—by Karan himself.
Elsewhere, Umesh looks at Karthik’s photograph, his eyes filled with tears. “I’m a lifeless man without you, Karthik. Please come back,” he murmurs before suddenly collapsing with a severe attack. Gayatri rushes to his side and calls a doctor. Distraught, she says, “Only Karthik’s return can heal him.” She tries calling Karthik repeatedly, but he doesn’t answer. Sanjana phones Gayatri, who tells her that her brother’s condition is worsening and that Karthik hasn’t come home since Lakshmi left. Fearing for Umesh’s health, Gayatri resolves to bring Karthik back herself.
At the office, Barkha confronts Karan, insisting they can’t afford to lose Lakshmi. Karan refuses, saying he doesn’t tolerate rude employees. Barkha counters, “We don’t have time to train someone new. What will we tell Dadi if we let Lakshmi go?” She firmly urges Karan to stop Lakshmi before she leaves the city.
