The episode begins with Aparajita leaving her house. As she walks away, Malti closes the door behind her and breaks down in tears. Aparajita is equally heartbroken and cries as well. Meanwhile, Rakshit assumes that Aparajita must be busy with her family function. Believing that Malti would not be happy to see him there and not wanting to create any additional stress for Aparajita, he decides to leave without meeting her. Unaware that Aparajita is nearby, he walks away.
Sitting under a tree, Aparajita recalls Malti’s painful words. At the same time, Chandrabaga and Lalit notice her from a distance. Chandrabaga tells Lalit that Aparajita had been soaring high because of her parents’ support, but now that support has been taken away. She believes Aparajita will eventually come to Lalit, begging for forgiveness. Chandrabaga advises him to act like a caring husband when that happens. Lalit simply laughs.
Elsewhere, Rakshit reaches his office and wonders whether Aparajita will come to meet him or not. Back at home, Ramgopal asks Malti to call Aparajita inside. Aradhya suggests discussing the matter the next morning, saying they cannot continue like this throughout the night.
Later, Chandrabaga instructs Lalit to keep an eye on Aparajita before heading inside to sleep. Lalit also retires for the night. Soon, Rashmi arrives to meet Aparajita. Overwhelmed with emotion, Aparajita hugs her and asks whether Malti had told her everything. Rashmi recalls how Malti had called her earlier and specifically asked her not to reveal anything to Aparajita. To protect Malti’s request, Rashmi lies and says that Avinash called her instead.
Rashmi tells Aparajita that she has come to take her home with her. Aparajita refuses at first, saying she does not want to inconvenience Rashmi’s family at such a late hour. Rashmi jokingly asks whether Aparajita wants to end their friendship. Eventually, she convinces Aparajita to come with her. As they leave together, Malti silently watches them.
Meanwhile, Ira remembers Vivaan’s words and starts wondering where Rakshit is. Concerned that he still has not returned, she questions Dubey about his whereabouts. Dubey initially avoids answering, but when Ira insists on hearing the truth, he reveals that Rakshit is at the office. Curious about why he would be there so late, Ira leaves to find out.
At Rashmi’s house, Rashmi’s mother tells Aparajita that Malti is not entirely wrong and encourages everyone to get some rest. Later, Aparajita opens up to Rashmi, saying that Lalit has successfully turned Malti against her and that everyone now believes she is at fault. Rashmi reassures her that one day Lalit’s true face will be exposed and, when that day comes, Malti will stand by her side. She urges Aparajita to stay with them until things improve and then goes to bring her something to eat.
While checking her phone, Aparajita notices a message from Rakshit and suddenly realizes that she completely forgot his birthday. At the same time, Vivaan informs Sudha that it is already 11:30 p.m. Sudha wonders whether Aparajita will once again end up hurting Rakshit by not being there on his special day. She then takes Vivaan with her and heads to Rakshit’s office.
At the office, Rakshit reflects on how painful one-sided love can be and convinces himself that Aparajita is not coming. Suddenly, he sees Aparajita standing before him and assumes he is imagining her. To get his attention, Aparajita gently touches him. Startled, Rakshit almost loses his balance, but Aparajita catches him before he falls. Only then does he realize that she is really there.
Aparajita asks if he is alright and apologizes for arriving so late. She says he should have been celebrating his birthday rather than waiting for her at the office. Feeling guilty, she admits that she has ruined his special day. Rakshit smiles and tells her that there are still three minutes left before the day ends.
Looking around, Aparajita searches for a cake. Just then, the lights go out. Moments later, she appears with a cake topped by a lit candle. As the final seconds tick away, she tells Rakshit that only five seconds remain and asks him to make a wish.
Closing his eyes, Rakshit silently prays that God fills Aparajita’s life with happiness and gives all her sorrows to him instead.
