The episode begins with Dil deciding to make Raghav Kumar her father, inspired by a suggestion from the cat.
She then notices an injury on Nandini’s leg.
Raghav asks Shanaya to help him bandage the wound, but Shanaya refuses, saying she can’t stand the smell of medicine and tells him to do it himself. Raghav agrees and tends to the wound.
Later that night, while Nandini is asleep, Dil whispers that she shouldn’t worry—she’s found a father who will take care of both of them. She softly sings a lullaby, showing her deep love and concern.
The next day at school, Dil tells her friend Ram that she’s chosen Raghav Kumar to be her new father.
Their teacher scolds Dil for not paying attention, but Dil quickly refocuses. The teacher then asks her a math question involving birthday items. Some classmates mock her, claiming that Nandini never celebrates her birthday. But Dil confidently answers the question correctly. The teacher praises her and reprimands the other students for teasing her.
Dil boldly announces that her mother will throw her a grand birthday party this year—no one will be able to make fun of her again. Later, she hands out birthday invitations to her classmates.
Ram, however, points out that Raghav Kumar is already married, so Dil might need to find someone else. As she processes this, she sees her PT teacher with his kids and follows him, only to realize he also can’t be her father. Disappointed, she walks away.
Elsewhere, Dil’s uncle receives a call from a lawyer who confirms that the house will only be his after Nandini’s death, as stated in their father’s will.
Angry and frustrated, he becomes determined to get Nandini out of the way.
Meanwhile, Nandini is stopped by loan collectors who demand repayment. She pleads for more time, but they forcibly take the money from her and seize her delivery truck. She begs them not to, explaining that the money was meant for Dil’s birthday celebration, but they ignore her.
Dil returns home and overhears Nandini explaining the situation to her sister-in-law. She quietly observes the conversation, affected by what she hears.
Later, she watches birthday videos of Shanaya on her phone. When Nandini comes over, Dil jokingly says they can celebrate her birthday with just bananas. Nandini hugs her warmly.
To get the money back, Nandini pawns her jewelry and manages to repay the loan.
At Raghav’s house, reporters arrive to cover Shanaya’s birthday. They ask Natasha to call Raghav, and she leaves to fetch him.
Meanwhile, Dil’s uncle hires a goon to kill Nandini—he wants it done that very day.
The next morning, Dil wakes up and heads downstairs, stunned to see the house decorated and her friends gathered for her birthday party.
Nandini enters, smiling, and wishes her a heartfelt happy birthday.
