The episode begins with Aarti gently scolding Anjali for not eating. She teases her, saying her mischief is only growing. Aarti questions why she’s refusing food when both Dadi and Padma are trying to feed her. She gets emotional, saying, “One day I’ll get married and have children. I won’t be able to take care of you then. Please recover and start eating on your own.”
Desperate, Aarti pleads with the silent Anjali to respond—just once. She urges her to reveal who tried to kill her and why her father was murdered even before she was born. “Dadi and Padma Maasi never told me anything about him,” she says softly. “Please, tell me who my father was.” Aarti then asks if Anjali can hear her voice.
Though unresponsive, Anjali begins recalling the tragic accident involving herself and Aman. Her condition suddenly worsens, and Aarti tries to comfort her.
Later, Sapna tells Aarti it’s good she didn’t bring up the past again, since it only makes things worse for Anjali. “After that incident,” Sapna says with pain, “my daughter became a living corpse, and my son-in-law died.” Aarti then asks about her father, but Sapna avoids the question. “Your mother hasn’t eaten—feed her first,” she says firmly. “And I won’t tell you anything about your father’s family.” She leaves with Padma, ending the conversation.
Determined, Aarti assures Anjali, “I’m a journalist—I will uncover the truth about Dad and his family soon.” She then gently feeds Anjali soup, heartbroken at her mother’s unresponsive state. Overwhelmed with emotion, Aarti hugs her, sobbing.
Meanwhile, Laal calls Aarti, asking her to work on a new story. He praises her for boosting the channel’s TRPs with yesterday’s report and adds that the police have arrested their crew. Suddenly, the car stops, and the driver informs Laal that someone is blocking the road.
A stranger approaches and asks Laal to step out, saying “Sir” wants to meet him. Laal gets out of the car, and Chandrabhan steps down from another vehicle. When Laal asks who he is, Chandrabhan replies, “Your channel was the one that aired the girls’ trafficking story, wasn’t it?” Laal proudly confirms, “Yes, and it gave us huge TRPs.”
Chandrabhan then threatens Laal, demanding to speak to the reporter behind the story. When Laal refuses, Chandrabhan’s men point guns at him. Forced, Laal calls Aarti and hands the phone over to Chandrabhan.
Irritated, Aarti answers, “Why are you calling again? I’m busy taking care of my mom.” Chandrabhan calmly introduces himself and warns her to drop the trafficking story. Unshaken, Aarti demands to know who he is. When he repeats his name, she boldly cuts him off: “I’m not afraid of threats,” and ends the call.
