The episode begins with Kanka taunting that Jhanak doesn’t even know her father’s name and, being a village girl, how could a city boy like Rishi ever accept her? She adds that Rishi was forced into marriage with Jhanak. Jhanak firmly asks Kanka to stop speaking nonsense. She explains that she only came to appear for her exams and plans to move to the city for higher studies, with Dadabhai’s support. She questions why everyone brought up Rishi when her in-laws visited. Nutan steps in, telling Kanka to stop interrogating Jhanak. She declares that she has no intention of leaving Simulboni and asks Kanka to stop imagining otherwise. Parashar adds that Jhanak’s in-laws’ visit should settle matters and dismisses the gathered villagers.
Nutan then takes Jhanak inside and asks her to rest. Jhanak insists she needs to study, but Parashar advises her to sleep for now. Nutan presses Jhanak to reveal the truth about Rishi. Parashar too wants to know why Rishi hasn’t shown up. Jhanak defends herself, saying she hasn’t lied. Nutan reminds her that Rishi hasn’t called even once and ignores their calls, demanding an explanation. Jhanak breaks down, saying Rishi never wanted her—he already had a fiancée, Aditi, whom he truly loves. She explains that Rishi suffered because of the villagers and that she has freed him from their forced relationship.
Meanwhile, Indumati accuses Dadabhai of worsening Rishi’s problems. Abhimanyu questions why he never told Jhanak’s family the truth. Putul argues that nothing could be revealed when Jhanak’s condition was critical. Rishi himself asks why they can’t just be honest. Neelu insists that only Aditi’s suffering matters. Dadabhai counters that Aditi, being educated and independent, has the right to reject Rishi for his mistakes. Jhanak, however, doesn’t share that privilege, as the villagers already see Rishi as her husband. Rishi retorts that Jhanak is not his wife, and only Aditi matters—he will marry her once she understands him. He adds that Aditi won’t return if she finds out Dadabhai went to Simulboni. But Dadabhai says it doesn’t matter; he will always stand by Jhanak and promises to help her secure college admission. Surjeet objects, and Abhimanyu accuses Dadabhai of ruining Rishi’s life. Tanushri asks if Dadabhai invited Jhanak to stay there. Dadabhai asserts it’s his house and questions why he can’t do that. Rishi angrily replies that Dadabhai can bring even villagers if he wants, but he himself will leave. Dadabhai then reveals that Jhanak refused to come there and later suffered a heart attack.
Back in Simulboni, Parashar insists Rishi should accept Jhanak. But Jhanak asks what wrong Rishi has done by not accepting her. Nutan sadly compares Jhanak’s fate with her own. Jhanak admits she is not a match for Rishi. Parashar pointedly asks if she has accepted Rishi as her husband. With tears, Jhanak confesses that she doesn’t know—but perhaps her heart has already accepted him.
