The episode opens with Aditi telling Jhanak that she learned to meddle in other people’s lives from Nutan. Rishi asks Aditi not to speak to Jhanak like that, but Aditi tells him to stay quiet, admitting that she couldn’t sleep all night. Jhanak urges Aditi to stop, asserting that she will prove who her father is and emphasizing that her mother was an honest, pure woman. She tells Aditi that one day the truth will come out—that they share the same father.
Aditi accuses Jhanak of claiming someone else’s husband as hers and someone else’s father as her father. Rishi snatches the phone from Aditi, telling Jhanak that she can call him for help, but she cannot interfere in his personal space. Jhanak asks why he doesn’t trust her, insisting she didn’t call him.
Aditi tells Rishi that Jhanak is lying, while Jhanak pleads with Rishi to trust her at least. Aditi questions why Rishi should believe Jhanak. Jhanak reminds Aditi that Rishi was once her husband and points out that he always comes to her aid. She explains that Rishi’s opinion of her is different from Aditi’s, and despite having no current relationship, they trust each other. Aditi declares that she can no longer tolerate the situation.
Rishi tells Jhanak that she cannot insult Aditi and that Aditi’s anger is justified. He warns that he will not tolerate Jhanak speaking to Aditi in such a manner. He adds that he cannot always help Jhanak, as he has other responsibilities. Jhanak acknowledges this, saying she doesn’t want to come between Rishi and Aditi. She admits that the call came from her phone, takes responsibility, apologizes, and promises not to call Rishi again before ending the call.
Mishti overhears the conversation. Jhanak questions her roommate about whether she made the call, but the roommate denies it. Jhanak decides to be more careful moving forward and leaves. Later, Ayush asks Jhanak if she has received her scholarship money. She replies that she will get it the next day. Ayush mentions he is buying some books and invites Jhanak to come along. He also offers to help her get a library card. Mishti and her friends arrive and tease Jhanak for sitting with Ayush, but Jhanak clarifies that Ayush is helping her and isn’t like the bullies.
Meanwhile, Rishi offers to drop Aditi at college. She questions his sudden gesture, and he explains that he has to go to duty afterward. Aditi expresses her frustration at a third person coming between them, and Rishi assures her that he scolded Jhanak for the call. Aditi accuses him of loving Jhanak and asks him to admit it if true. Rishi clarifies that he only cares about Jhanak and wonders why they are discussing it now, reminding her that they are married. Aditi admits her insecurity, and Rishi comforts her, saying she has nothing to fear as he is with her. They go downstairs together.
On the way to the library, Jhanak talks with Ayush about their parents. She reveals that her father never accepted her and that her husband didn’t either. She explains that she separated from Rishi for Aditi’s sake and confesses that she still loves him deeply, unable to love anyone else. Ayush reassures her that they will always be friends. Suddenly, a bomb blast occurs, injuring Jhanak. Ambulances and police arrive on the scene.
Back home, Surjeet suggests celebrating Dadabhai and Indumati’s 40th wedding anniversary, and Payal proposes keeping it a surprise. Aditi asks why they are waiting for Ridhiman, and Surjeet explains that she has never met him. Tanushri criticizes Ridhiman for his actions toward Sanjhbati, but Rishi points out that they don’t know the full story. They see breaking news about the bomb blast and grow worried. Rishi asks them to call Mishti, as it happened near her college. Payal confirms Mishti is safe inside. Putul expresses concern for Jhanak, and Rishi immediately leaves for the college.
