The episode begins with Jaya instructing Banku to take care of all the final wedding arrangements, including arranging the band. Ansh and Prerna excitedly ask what tasks they can help with.
However, Anupama tells the bride and groom to simply relax and enjoy the celebrations. Leela supports her, adding that Ansh and Prerna will already be exhausted from greeting guests and taking blessings from all the relatives. Despite everyone’s insistence, Ansh and Prerna remain eager to be part of the preparations.
Meanwhile, Paritosh casually mentions that he wants a facial before the wedding. Hasmuk jokingly asks Anupama to give him one, and she happily agrees, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.
Banku then suggests a creative idea—he proposes that Ansh and Prerna prepare their own wedding welcome board by writing their names on it. Soon, the Shah family begins discussing who belongs to the bride’s side and who belongs to the groom’s side. Digvijay confidently states that he has already planned everything, and Hasmuk immediately agrees that his plan will be followed. Paritosh, however, looks visibly irritated.
As Ansh begins writing on the board, he and Prerna playfully argue over whose name should come first. Anupama gently settles the matter, explaining that in their tradition, the bride’s name is written first. Smiling, Ansh lovingly writes Prerna’s name before his own.
The emotional moment reminds Prerna of her family, and she quietly breaks down as she recalls that neither her mother nor her brother and sister-in-law have come for her wedding. Noticing her distress, Anupama gently asks what is wrong. Prerna then reveals the truth in front of everyone.
Leela immediately remarks that it is better this way, calling Prerna’s mother cruel and her brother no different. Deeply hurt, Prerna responds that despite their flaws, they are still her family. She reminds Leela that even after everything Vanraj did, Leela still remembers and misses him—so she cannot be expected to forget her own family either. Overcome with emotion, Prerna walks away, and Ansh follows her at once.
Leela feels insulted by Prerna’s words. Pakhi takes advantage of the situation and fuels the tension, saying Prerna has barely entered the Shah family yet has already made an elder cry. Anupama firmly stops Pakhi from escalating the matter further.
Leela insists Pakhi is right and again claims Prerna is not suitable for Ansh. Anupama calmly reminds her that she was the one who started the argument. Pakhi continues criticizing Prerna, saying she will always cry for her mother Rajni.
Hasmuk steps in to calm everyone and explains that children are not always like their parents. Just as Anupama’s children are different from her and Vanraj was different from him, Prerna should not be judged based on her family background. Rahi also supports Prerna, saying there is nothing wrong in remembering one’s mother, because no matter the flaws, a mother remains a mother. Her words leave Anupama emotional and speechless.
Anupama once again requests Leela to stop judging Prerna.
Meanwhile, Ansh consoles an upset Prerna. He gently tells her that while her feelings are valid, she should still respect elders. To lighten her mood, he playfully dances in front of her until she finally smiles. He then happily expresses how excited he is to marry her.
Elsewhere, Leela asks someone to drop her at the railway station. Hasmuk teasingly asks what new drama she is planning now. Leela complains that no one in the house wants her anymore. Hasmuk jokingly replies that everyone will celebrate once she leaves and even asks Paritosh to accompany her. Paritosh immediately protests, asking why he is always targeted.
Leela becomes even more upset, but before she can leave, Digvijay stops her. She complains that today’s generation neither respects elders nor knows how to speak properly. She insists that even if she made a mistake, Prerna should not have spoken back. She also feels Ansh has changed.
Both Ansh and Prerna request her to stay. Anupama asks Prerna to handle the situation herself. Prerna sincerely apologizes and finally convinces Leela to stay back. However, Leela warns her that if she ever argues again, she will personally throw her out of the house.
Digvijay happily declares that the situation has been resolved. Anupama praises Prerna for handling everything with maturity and decides to go to the market to buy the remaining wedding items. Before leaving, she lovingly looks around the Shah house and proudly calls it her home.
