The episode begins with Rishi urging Jhanak to stay strong for herself and to fulfill her and her mother’s dream. Confused, Jhanak questions his sudden change in behavior. Rishi is left speechless, and they share a silent gaze. Inwardly, he admits even he doesn’t understand his actions. Jhanak then tells him that she knows his behavior stems from guilt, as he was responsible for her accident. Rishi asks her to remember his advice and quietly walks away.
Alone, Jhanak tells herself she doesn’t want Rishi’s help. Grieving her mother’s death, she resolves not to maintain any bond with Rishi just because of their forced marriage. She decides to step away from his life and allow him to be happy with Aditi through marriage.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Krishnendu manipulates the IG and other officers, accusing Rishi of deliberately causing Jhanak’s accident. He claims Rishi is misusing his power to push Jhanak out of his life. Two officers defend Rishi, pointing out that he was forced into marriage. But Krishnendu insists that marriage is marriage, forced or not. He warns that Rishi could exploit Jhanak’s innocence, sending her back to a village that may no longer accept her. The IG is angered to learn the investigation was halted and scolds his juniors. He orders them to resume the case and interrogate both Rishi and Jhanak separately to uncover the truth. Krishnendu thanks him, hiding a triumphant smirk.
At Rishi’s house, Aditi discusses her future marriage with Rishi’s family. She declares she will marry him only after Jhanak leaves the house. She questions whether Nutan’s last rites will be performed there. Dadabhai clarifies that the rites will be held in the village and adds that Rishi has taken responsibility for Jhanak’s education, arranging for her to stay in a hostel. Aditi reluctantly mentions her father, Aniruddh, a social worker, might also help Jhanak—but she firmly states she doesn’t want Jhanak living in this house.
Rishi arrives and asks Aditi when she came. Offended, Aditi argues with him, questioning why he is taking responsibility for Jhanak. Rishi defends his choice, saying he doesn’t want to live burdened with guilt. Just then, Jhanak enters and firmly declares she doesn’t need anyone’s help. She announces her decision to return to her village. Putul reminds Rishi about his earlier promise to take Jhanak back. Aditi, furious, lashes out at Rishi, but the family tries to calm her down. Jhanak again insists she doesn’t need their support. When Aditi scolds her for speaking up, Jhanak boldly defends herself, saying that when others make decisions about her life without asking her, she has every right to speak.
At that moment, the police arrive to investigate Rishi regarding Jhanak’s accident. They question his true intentions. Aditi quickly blames Jhanak and her villagers for creating trouble and accuses Jhanak of plotting all this just to stay close to Rishi. The officer then questions Jhanak directly. She responds that she doesn’t understand why they are interrogating Rishi again, as he is an honest officer. She firmly asks why Rishi would ever try to harm his own wife. Her words leave Aditi furious and the others stunned.
