The episode begins with the police inspector informing Rishi’s family that they saved him just in time. Tanushri anxiously asks Rishi if he is alright, while Putul asks about Jhanak. Neelu scolds Putul for worrying about Jhanak instead of Rishi. Aditi also checks on Rishi, who reassures everyone that he is fine. He admits that he feared he would never see them again, but Jhanak saved him.
Dritimaan asks the police inspector for a full account of what happened, but Rishi explains that the police arrived late, so only he and Jhanak know the complete story. Sanjhbati questions why Jhanak didn’t share anything if she already knew the truth. Rishi suggests that Jhanak must have had her reasons for keeping it hidden. Neelu remarks that now Jhanak will start telling stories. Aditi insists the police inspector tell Jhanak that she caused Rishi’s danger and criticizes him for not taking Jhanak to the station. The inspector admits he knows only part of the story and urges Rishi and Jhanak to tell the truth. Aditi cynically predicts that Jhanak will lie and Rishi will support her.
Arshi blames Jhanak for Rishi’s peril, but Rishi counters that Jhanak saved his life. Aditi wonders why Jhanak didn’t reveal anything when they met her earlier. Tanushri notes that Jhanak withheld information from Mishti and the others as well. Dadabhai directly asks Jhanak why she hid the truth despite their right to know. Jhanak responds that she will leave after revealing the truth, so no one should worry about her staying. Arshi comments that Jhanak always says this but never leaves. Aditi tells Jhanak not to stay in someone else’s house next time.
Rishi then reveals that Ankush is behind everything. He explains that Ankush wanted revenge on Indranath using him and Jhanak. Ankush had kidnapped them and threatened Jhanak to harm Indranath. Everyone is shocked. Rishi clarifies that Jhanak was forced to give wrong medicine to Indranath but didn’t comply. Jhanak declares she will not stay there and tells Rishi to stay happy with Aditi. The police inspector mentions he has Rishi’s statement and will leave, reminding Rishi to report for duty the next day. Rishi announces that he cannot leave Jhanak and admits that there is no love between him and Aditi. He asks for a divorce, hoping it will be mutual, and expresses his desire to marry Jhanak afterward. Aditi is heartbroken. Rishi firmly asks his family to decide whether Jhanak can stay, promising to stay elsewhere if they refuse.
