The episode opens with Mohan pleading with Katha to open the door, deeply concerned about her well-being. Inside, Katha breaks down, feeling guilty that Mohan is once again facing humiliation because of her. Mohan assures her that he doesn’t fully understand her pain but promises to speak with Eshwar to call off the wedding and take care of all the debts. Touched by his words, Katha finally opens the door and, to everyone’s shock, announces that she will marry UV. Her family is stunned and demands an explanation, but Katha dismisses them, deciding silently that she doesn’t want to burden Mohan emotionally or financially any further. She believes this marriage is a duty—something she must do, even if she has no hope left in her heart.
Katha then proceeds to the mandap, where UV also arrives. They exchange heavy glances while Eshwar and the rest of the family look on with relief and happiness.
The wedding rituals begin. When the priest asks them to exchange garlands, both Katha and UV comply, clearly disinterested. Naina performs the gathbandhan ritual. As the ceremony continues, the priest asks for the bride’s father to step forward for the kanyadan. Katha recalls her own father abandoning her and declares that her uncle, Mohan, is her true father. Mohan becomes emotional as he steps forward to perform the kanyadan, with Vandana by his side. Afterward, both give Katha a loving kiss on her forehead.
Next, the priest instructs Katha and UV to take the pheras and make their vows. Though both follow the priest’s directions, their expressions are solemn. Everyone else seems joyful—except for Katha, UV, and Ambika, who are quietly distressed. Meanwhile, Prerna begins to show interest in Pratty, leaving him confused, while Omi and Naina share a sweet moment together.
The priest then tells UV to tie the mangalsutra around Katha’s neck, which he does. He also applies sindoor to her forehead, officially completing the ceremony. The priest announces them as husband and wife. Just then, Tammy arrives in a bridal outfit, stunned to see Katha and UV already married. Refusing to accept the marriage, she walks away in disbelief. UV, meanwhile, tells himself that he will never accept this marriage, while Katha quietly reflects that men are not to be trusted—but since this marriage is her responsibility, she will respect it for the sake of the elders.
Chandrika questions whether Katha is capable of holding UV back until all the post-wedding rituals are completed. Rukmini scolds her for speaking negatively during such a time. When the priest asks the newlyweds to seek blessings from their elders, UV remains still. Katha gestures to him, prompting him to finally step forward and take blessings from Kailash and Chandrika. Kailash gives Katha his advice and well wishes.
Just as UV prepares to leave for his café, Eshwar intervenes, firmly telling him to stay with Katha until all the rituals are finished. UV protests angrily, saying it’s impossible, leaving Katha shocked. Eshwar turns to her and asks her to trust his decision, entrusting her with the responsibility of making sure UV doesn’t leave until the rituals are done. Katha nods in agreement. UV looks stunned and glares at her in frustration.
