Mangal Lakshmi Today Episode 05 July 2025
The episode opens with Adit hurling insults at Pratima, accusing her of being manipulative. Unable to control his anger, Kapil slaps Adit, leaving everyone in shock. Mangal questions Kapil’s actions, and he responds firmly, “Didn’t you hear how Adit spoke about you and mom? I won’t tolerate anyone speaking that way about my mother.”
Pratima sides with Kapil, stating that had he not slapped Adit, she would have done it herself. She orders the security to throw Adit out. Mangal steps in, requesting them to stop. She calmly asks Adit to leave without creating more drama.
As Adit turns to exit, he slips and injures himself on a chair. Mangal and Ishana immediately rush to help. Noticing that he’s bleeding, Ishana pleads with Mangal to act quickly. They help Adit to his feet, and Mangal presses a handkerchief to his wound. Lakshmi consoles Ishana, assuring her that Adit will be fine. She takes over from Mangal and helps escort him out. As Adit leaves, he keeps glancing back at Mangal.
Whispers ripple through the gathering, with guests gossiping about Mangal still caring for Adit despite her engagement to Kapil. Some remark that Kapil will always be “husband number two” in her life. Shanti notes that Adit must have shown up just to stir trouble. At that moment, Akshat enters and asks why the dance stopped. He inquires about Adit, and Mangal explains that Adit wasn’t feeling well and left with Ishana and Lakshmi.
Pratima then urges Kapil to place the engagement ring on Mangal’s finger before the auspicious moment passes. Mangal hesitates, reluctant to extend her hand. Lakshmi steps in to support her, and Shanti gently guides Mangal’s hand forward. Kapil and Mangal exchange rings as flower petals rain down on them. Pratima blesses the couple and invites the guests to enjoy the food.
Later, Mangal is alone in her room, crying as she recalls Adit’s harsh words. Lakshmi finds her and asks why she’s upset on the day of her new beginning. Mangal confesses she’s confused—she always considered Kapil a friend, and it’s difficult to accept him now as her life partner. Lakshmi gently reminds her that she once wished for a husband who would also be a friend.
Mangal opens up, admitting that she only wanted to live peacefully with her children and that her mother pushed her into this marriage. She confesses she doesn’t know how to move forward. Lakshmi comforts her, saying everything happens for a reason and maybe this marriage will bring her the happiness she deserves. She encourages Mangal to stop living for others and start thinking about herself. She reassures her that Kapil is a good man and that life with him could be beautiful. Lakshmi urges her to trust in Maata Rani, who always guides what’s best. Mangal praises Lakshmi for her maturity and asks how she’s doing. Lakshmi says she’s fine and needs to leave. Mangal smiles and says, “Even if we’re apart, our hearts will always be connected.” They hug warmly, and Lakshmi walks away.
Meanwhile, Sowmya grows suspicious, wondering how Ishana ended up with Adit after supposedly attending the engagement. Kusum tends to Adit’s injuries, and both she and Sowmya question Ishana about what really happened. Ishana quietly says, “It was Kapil.”
Back at the venue, Kapil notices Mangal walking off absentmindedly. He gently places a hand on her shoulder and asks where her thoughts are. Mangal admits she’s lost in them. Kapil assumes she’s planning to go to Adit’s house and offers to accompany her, saying he won’t let her go alone. Mangal insists she’ll manage. Kapil stops her and says, “We’re engaged now. Let me help you. I have that right, don’t I?” He adds softly, “I know you’re upset with me—that’s why you can’t look me in the eye. Because I slapped Adit.” Mangal remains silent, torn by her emotions.
