The episode opens with Lakshmi waiting at the meteor shower spot, wondering if Karthik has forgotten his promise. Just then, Veda arrives and shows her Karthik’s autograph. Seeing it, Lakshmi breaks down in tears.
Meanwhile, Gayatri walks in on Karthik furiously strangling Jia. She quickly intervenes and demands an explanation. Karthik accuses Jia of hiding the truth—insisting that Lakshmi is alive. Jia denies it, claiming she looked into the matter and confirmed the girl isn’t Lakshmi. She pleads with him to trust her, but Karthik refuses to believe her, convinced in his heart that Lakshmi is still alive. Jia challenges him, asking, “If she really is alive, why hasn’t she come back to you? Why hasn’t she called even once? Wasn’t she always full of emotional speeches?” Karthik walks away in silence.
Elsewhere, Veda runs into Raghuveer. He asks what happened, and Lakshmi explains, “Veda got Karthik’s autograph, but I couldn’t meet him.” She cries. Raghuveer apologizes, feeling guilty, but Lakshmi assures him it isn’t his or Veda’s fault, and quietly walks away.
Later, Gayatri confronts Jia, accusing her of doing something to Lakshmi. Jia coldly responds, “Let the past stay buried. If it surfaces, even you’ll be in trouble.”
At home, Veda notices Lakshmi looking upset and asks her what’s wrong. Lakshmi brushes it off. Veda suggests their usual Thursday outing, saying, “Let’s go get mango cheesecake, like always.” Lakshmi says they’ll go next week. Veda presses her again, but Raghuveer gently steps in, asking Veda not to insist. Just then, he receives a call from the doctor and sends Veda to get her drawing book.
The doctor informs Raghuveer that a heart donor has been found for Veda. Overjoyed, he shares the news with Lakshmi, saying, “Once Veda recovers, we can finally tell her the full truth.” Lakshmi smiles, saying she’s happy for Veda. When Veda returns with her drawing, she sees Lakshmi smiling and eagerly asks if that means they’re going for cheesecake. Lakshmi agrees.
Meanwhile, Karthik contacts the inspector, explaining that the hospital claims the girl isn’t Lakshmi, but he still wants to meet her. The inspector refuses and hangs up. Heartbroken, Karthik drowns his sorrow in alcohol and cries for Lakshmi. Suddenly, he sees Lakshmi appear before him. She reminds him of their bond through music and pleads with him to sing for her once more. Karthik plays the guitar and sings an emotional melody. They embrace. As Lakshmi begins to leave, Karthik begs her to stay. At that moment, Lakshmi gets hiccups. Veda, noticing, says, “Me and Dad are right here—who else could be thinking of you?” Lakshmi is reminded of Karthik.
At a café, Jia’s friends tease her for not inviting them to the engagement. Jia smiles and says, “The party’s tonight. You’ll definitely be invited to the wedding.” Coincidentally, Raghuveer, Lakshmi, and Veda arrive at the same café. Veda orders mango cheesecake—her favorite. Jia orders the same dessert. However, the waiter informs them only one slice remains, and it’s reserved for Veda. Jia asks Veda if she can have it, but Veda refuses and takes it. In retaliation, Jia trips Veda and walks away smugly.
Lakshmi rushes to Veda’s aid. Veda angrily complains that a woman deliberately tripped her. Furious, Lakshmi says, “Who is that shameless woman? I won’t let her go so easily.” Raghuveer calms her down, urging her to avoid a fight and suggesting they leave. As he heads back to the table for his wallet, Jia catches a glimpse of Lakshmi—and is left stunned.
