The episode begins with Lakshmi asking Karthik what will happen to their dream of having children if something happens to her. Karthik, upset, tells her never to speak like that. Lakshmi quickly apologizes, assuring him she is fine as long as she has him by her side.
Elsewhere, Gayatri consoles Umesh, telling him not to cry. Umesh says he feels bad for Lakshmi, but Gayatri replies that her sympathy lies with Karthik and the family—since Lakshmi cannot give them an heir. Shocked, Umesh questions how she can speak so harshly without understanding Lakshmi’s pain.
Meanwhile, Karthik asks Lakshmi to rest. She hugs him, saying she wants to recover soon so they can plan for a baby. When Karthik leaves to bring her soup, Lakshmi wonders why he seems to avoid the topic of children. Gayatri, still bitter, tells Umesh to stop praising Lakshmi and walks away. On the terrace, Karthik vents his frustration through his guitar, haunted by the doctor’s words that Lakshmi can never conceive. Gayatri intervenes, asking him not to hurt himself.
Lakshmi, worried, steps out of her room and asks Nidhi about Karthik. Though Nidhi urges her to rest, Lakshmi insists and learns he is on the terrace. There, Gayatri tries to pin the blame on Lakshmi for Karthik’s distress. But Karthik bursts out in anger, saying it was Gayatri’s fault—she invited the baba, which led to Lakshmi’s suffering. He sternly warns her never to bring up the topic again or tell Lakshmi the truth about her infertility.
Sanjana overhears and mocks Gayatri, saying this is her punishment—now Lakshmi cannot give an heir to the family. Gayatri snaps back, asking her to step aside. Sanjana threatens to push her, but Gayatri boldly replies that an heir will come to their family no matter what. Sanjana taunts her further, warning that Karthik will never agree to a second marriage.
Later, Lakshmi asks Umesh about Karthik and goes to his room, only to find him pretending to be asleep. His strange behavior leaves her confused.
The next morning, Lakshmi prepares breakfast. Karthik scolds her for not resting, but she explains she cooked it for him. He takes her back to their room—where they find it decorated with baby toys and pictures. Lakshmi’s eyes light up, and she thanks Karthik, but he denies doing it. At that moment, Sanjana enters and reveals she decorated the room as a surprise. Lakshmi thanks her warmly, but Sanjana pointedly remarks that they should have a baby soon so everyone can enjoy the little one.
Karthik, furious, shouts at her to stop interfering. He knocks down a photo stand in anger and storms out. Lakshmi, stunned, asks why he hurt Sanjana bua and if something is wrong. Karthik avoids answering and walks away, leaving Lakshmi determined to uncover what he is hiding.
